Instructions

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, crumbling it into the pan. Season with salt and pepper. Cook and stir the beef until browned, about 7 to 10 minutes. Drain off excess grease and transfer the beef to a bowl.

Melt butter in the same skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, cooking them until softened, about 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in the flour, cooking until it turns golden brown, about 1 minute. Return the beef to the skillet, stirring to combine. Pour the beef broth over the mixture and bring to a boil. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and mustard.

Cover the skillet, reduce the heat to medium-low, and let the mixture simmer for about 1 hour, until the sauce thickens to a gravy-like consistency.
