1 pound ground beef

1 (12 ounce) package bulk pork breakfast sausage

6 fresh mushrooms, chopped

1 red onion, chopped

2 tablespoons barbecue sauce

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 egg

½ cup instant oatmeal

1 teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

4 strips bacon
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, sausage, mushrooms, onions, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, egg, oatmeal, garlic powder, pepper, and Cheddar cheese. Mix until everything is evenly incorporated. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a 9x13-inch baking dish. Lay the bacon strips over the top of the meatloaf.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is no longer pink in the center. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160°F (70°C).
