Red Wine-Marinated Flat Iron Steaks

Ingredients List
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
-
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
-
⅓ cup dry red wine
-
½ teaspoon dry mustard powder
-
salt and pepper to taste
-
4 (8 ounce) flat iron steaks
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
½ teaspoon dry mustard powder
-
½ teaspoon olive oil
Instructions
-
Combine 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 3 minced garlic cloves, parsley, thyme, red wine, 1/2 teaspoon of mustard powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Pour into a resealable plastic bag over the steaks. Seal, removing excess air, and marinate for 1 hour at room temperature or 4 hours in the fridge.
-
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate. In a small bowl, mix 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of mustard powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil, then set aside.
-
Remove the steaks from the marinade, discard the remaining marinade, and cook the steaks on the preheated grill to your preferred doneness, about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Before serving, brush the steaks with the garlic mixture.
