Scrumptious Sweet Potato Casserole

⅓ cup brown sugar

¼ cup melted butter
Instructions
Set your oven to preheat at 375°F (190°C).
Prick the yams with a fork in several spots, then microwave them on high for about 20 minutes until tender and heated through. Once cooled, peel off the skins and transfer the yams to a large mixing bowl.
Mash the yams until smooth. Gradually beat in the eggs, one at a time, making sure to blend well after each addition. Stir in 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1/8 cup melted butter, salt, cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg; continue beating until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Pour the mixture into a greased 3-quart casserole dish. Arrange the pecans evenly on top, then sprinkle with the remaining brown sugar and drizzle with 1/4 cup of melted butter.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
