Seafood Alfredo Fettuccine

1 (16 ounce) package dry fettuccine noodles

1 cup chopped green onions

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 pound medium shrimp - peeled and deveined

1 pound sea scallops

2 cups half-and-half cream

salt and pepper to taste

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons cornstarch (Optional)
Instructions
Prepare all the necessary ingredients ahead of time.

Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring it to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes.

In a large nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add green onions and garlic, cooking for 1 minute. Next, stir in the shrimp and scallops, cooking for 3 minutes, then reduce the heat to medium-low.

Add half-and-half to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Stir constantly as it heats to a simmer, ensuring it doesn't boil. Gradually incorporate 1/2 cup of Parmesan, and continue cooking and stirring for an additional minute before removing from heat.

Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet. Toss it with the sauce until the noodles are evenly coated. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan on top and serve right away.
