2 ½ pounds bone-in chicken pieces

2 stalks celery, chopped

2 carrots, chopped

1 onion, quartered

1 tablespoon dried basil
Instructions

Add chicken, water, celery, carrots, onion, and basil into the slow cooker.

Set the cooker to Low and let it cook for 8 to 10 hours. After cooking, strain the broth and discard the vegetables. The chicken can be removed from the bones and added to the soup.
