Slow Cooker Moose Roast

1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix

2 cups apple juice, or more as needed
Instructions

Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Brown the roast on all sides, then transfer it to a slow cooker.

Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the roast and pour in the apple juice. Cover and cook on medium for 6 to 8 hours, or until the meat is tender. Check occasionally to ensure there's enough liquid, adding more apple juice if needed.

Serve the roast with the cooking juices, or thicken the juices to create a flavorful gravy.
