Smoked Gouda and Bacon Stuffed Baked Pork Chops

2 ounces smoked Gouda cheese, shredded

4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled

2 (2 1/4-inch thick) center-cut boneless pork chops

1 teaspoon olive oil

1 egg

1 cup bread crumbs

¼ teaspoon salt

1 apple, cored

1 green onion

2 pieces red grapes
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a bowl, combine Gouda cheese, crispy bacon, parsley, and 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper.

Slice each pork chop horizontally from one side, leaving about 1/2 inch from the other side. Open them like a book and stuff the cheese and bacon mixture inside. Secure with toothpicks and drizzle with olive oil.

Beat an egg in a bowl. In another bowl, mix bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper. Dip each stuffed pork chop into the egg and coat with the bread crumb mixture. Arrange the breaded chops in a 9x13-inch casserole dish.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the pork is no longer pink inside. Use a meat thermometer to ensure it reaches at least 145°F (63°C). Garnish with apple slices, green onions, and red grapes.
