Taco Lasagna Feast

2 (1.25 ounce) packages taco seasoning mix

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon chili powder

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper

18 (6 inch) corn tortillas

1 (24 ounce) jar salsa

1 cup sliced green onion

1 (16 ounce) container sour cream

1 ½ cups shredded Cheddar cheese

1 ½ cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Cooking Instructions

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, then drain the excess fat. Add taco seasoning, garlic, chili powder, and cayenne pepper. Stir in water, reduce the heat, and simmer for 10 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Lay 6 tortillas at the bottom of the dish. Spread a third of the salsa on top, followed by half of the seasoned meat mixture. Sprinkle half of the green onions over the meat, then dollop half of the sour cream. Top with a mix of 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese and 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese. Repeat the layers. For the final layer, add the remaining tortillas, cover with the remaining salsa, and finish with the remaining cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly, with the cheese melted and the layers well integrated.
