Tortellini Carbonara with a creamy twist
Ingredients Needed

2 tablespoons butter

½ pound cooked ham, cut into 1/2-inch pieces

4 cups half-and-half

1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

¼ cup onion, chopped

1 ½ cups frozen green peas

9 ounces fresh cheese-filled tortellini
Step-by-Step Instructions
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the onion and ham, and sauté for about 5 minutes, or until the onion becomes soft and translucent.
Slowly pour in half-and-half and cheese, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens and begins to bubble. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then remove from heat and set aside.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook until tender, following the package instructions. In the last minute of cooking, add the peas to the pot. Drain and mix with the ham and sauce mixture.
