Ingredients Needed
-
1 sack giblets from one turkey
-
½ cup butter
-
1 cup diced celery
-
½ cup chopped onion
-
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
-
salt and pepper to taste
-
8 cups dry bread cubes
-
1 cup chicken broth, or as needed
Instructions
-
Finely chop the giblets.
-
Heat butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add giblets and cook for 2 minutes. Then add celery and onion; cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper.
-
Transfer bread cubes to a large bowl. Add the giblet mixture and enough broth to lightly moisten the bread. The stuffing is now ready to be baked as desired.
