Avelo Airlines expands internationally with 18 new routes, adding three more cities to its growing network.

Avelo Airlines revealed its largest expansion yet, introducing 18 new routes and three additional destinations as part of a bold growth strategy.

This expansion marks Avelo's debut in international travel, with new routes to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Cancun, Mexico.

Avelo is further strengthening its presence in Connecticut, launching seven new routes from Hartford's Bradley International Airport (BDL) this fall, complementing its existing 26 routes from Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN).

Avelo stated that its "dual operations" at HVN and BDL will serve as a "regional hub" for the airline, offering a total of 33 routes to 28 destinations from both Connecticut airports.

Avelo's expansion also significantly benefits Lakeland Linder International Airport (LAL) in Florida and Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA) near Charlotte, with both airports receiving new routes.

Lakeland secured seven new routes, including flights to Atlanta, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Wilmington, Delaware. As the only airline serving the airport, Avelo connects it to major hubs like Orlando (MCO), Tampa (TPA), and beyond, covering a key 100-mile stretch in central Florida.

In North Carolina, Avelo will introduce five new routes at Concord Airport, located just 18 miles north of downtown Charlotte. Avelo will be one of only two airlines serving the airport, alongside Allegiant Air, and its new flights will greatly expand its footprint. In contrast, other carriers serving Charlotte operate exclusively from the much larger Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT).

• Houston's William P. Hobby Airport (HOU): Service starts Nov. 15, with round-trip flights on Mondays and Fridays.
