Aviation enthusiasts, good news! You can now reserve a private night in a 737 suite using Marriott points.

If you've ever dreamed of having an entire 737 to yourself, your wish has come true.
The Corendon Amsterdam New-West, part of the Tribute Portfolio Hotels, features the newly relaunched Cockpit Suite (room 737), which includes the complete fuselage — cockpit and front seating area — of a real 737. To top it off, the hotel joined Marriott's Tribute Collection this year, allowing you to book the suite with Marriott Bonvoy points. And the cherry on top: rates for this one-of-a-kind experience start at under $300 per night.
I had the chance to visit the suite last week, and it felt like Christmas for aviation fans. Ready to check in and step aboard? Here's what you should know.

A look at the 737 suite
Describing this suite as unique would be an understatement.

Step into room 737, labeled "Cockpit Suite," and you'll encounter a short staircase that leads you into the back of the fuselage. Inside, you'll find three rows of blue leather seating, a small galley, and the thrilling full cockpit experience.

Here, you can engage with every knob, switch, lever, and wheel. (Yes, I confess, I explored them all.)

The cockpit's windows align perfectly with the room's floor-to-ceiling windows, extending the nose of the plane out through the wall. Positioned southwest, they offer a view towards Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS), making it ideal for plane spotting from the cockpit.
As you exit the plane, you'll discover a king bed on the port side and a spacious bathroom featuring a deep soaking tub and an ultraviolet light shower. (There's an additional bathroom in the suite.) The starboard side boasts a chic seating area with a white velvet couch and red slipper chairs. Adjacent to the living area, you'll find a round dining table with chairs and a wet bar.
The story of how a 737 arrived here
Originally part of KLM's fleet, the plane was rebranded with Corendon's logo before being lifted into its current location on the seventh floor of the New-West Hotel by crane in 2015. Initially, the room served for conferences and meetings, featuring a king bed on the port side and a large conference table on the starboard side, along with meeting room amenities.
How to make a reservation
Surprisingly, there's no need to call the hotel or use a special number to book the 737 Suite. Just visit the New West or Marriott reservations page and enter your desired date. If the room is available, it will appear in the reservation options; if not, it won't show up at all.
As you can see on the booking page, this room is not heavily advertised. In fact, it’s currently not promoted at all on the hotel’s website. This is great news if you're looking to stay, as it remains an under-the-radar option that's relatively easy to book.
For a single night in mid-November, I found availability for $278. The hotel confirmed that you can use Marriott Bonvoy points for bookings, but I couldn't access this option on the website. You'll need to contact Marriott directly for that.
Additional information
The hotel plans to introduce movies for guests in the 737, but honestly, I think relaxing in the captain's chair and watching planes is even more enjoyable. While there are no plans for airplane-style meals, you can order room service and enjoy your meal wherever you prefer.
If you can pull yourself away from this extraordinary space, one of the largest spas in Amsterdam awaits you downstairs, featuring a pool and hammam, along with the vibrant Caribbean-Dutch restaurant, Mondi.
For more aviation excitement
Enhance your Amsterdam aviation-themed experience by visiting the hotel’s sister property, Corendon Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Here, you'll find a decommissioned 747 in the garden (yes, the entire aircraft). Just walking around this giant is impressive, and you can take a guided tour inside the plane every day at 11 a.m.
Future plans may include transforming the space into a pancake restaurant or a bar. For now, though, you can sip a cocktail while enjoying views of the plane (and Schiphol right across the highway) at the 747 Sky Bar. Additionally, you can book a hotel room with aircraft views. This hotel is part of the Tribute Collection, with rates starting at $136 per night or 36,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.
