Breeze Airways Introduces 22 New Routes—Check Out the Complete List
Breeze Airways, the innovative airline founded by JetBlue’s David Neeleman, shows no signs of slowing its growth. Following last month's announcement of its bid for international flight approval, the budget carrier has now revealed ambitious domestic expansion plans for the upcoming year.
In 2023, Breeze will add 22 new and returning routes across 14 cities, featuring new flights from New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Florida on the East Coast, increased service in the Midwest with more routes from Ohio, and new connections to Los Angeles and Orange County in California, among others. Most new services will commence in the spring.
This announcement comes alongside a promotion offering fares as low as $39 one-way on tickets purchased by December 13, 2022, for travel through September 5, 2023.
Breeze operates a fleet of Airbus A220 jets, featuring 36 first-class seats in a two-by-two arrangement and 90 economy seats in a two-by-three layout (some with additional legroom). They also utilize smaller Embraer 190 and 195 regional aircraft.
The airline offers a tiered fare structure: "Nice," its budget-friendly option; "Nicer," a mid-tier choice that includes perks like a complimentary checked bag; and "Nicest," the first-class experience featuring larger seats, extra legroom, two checked bags, and complimentary snacks and beverages. There are no fees for changes or cancellations up to 15 minutes before departure, and families can sit together without incurring additional charges.

Regarding Breeze’s growth strategy, the airline "actively seeks out underrepresented routes to introduce nonstop flights, competitive fares, and our signature ‘seriously nice’ service," remarked Breeze president Tom Doxey.
Breeze commenced operations in May 2021 and, in addition to the aforementioned hubs, also services Westchester County in New York; New Orleans; Las Vegas; Savannah, Georgia; and Phoenix, Arizona, among other locations.
