Delta Introduces New Domestic Routes to West Coast Beaches, National Parks, and Mountain Resorts
Thinking ahead to next summer? You’re in good company. Delta Air Lines has recently revealed an array of new, returning, and expanded flight routes, primarily from its Atlanta hub to sought-after destinations in the American West, set to begin in summer 2024.

New and returning routes from Delta
Delta’s summer growth will include three routes new to Delta, featuring:
- Atlanta to Fresno (the gateway to Yosemite National Park), commencing June 7, 2024, with daily flights
- Atlanta to Santa Barbara, commencing June 7, 2024, with daily flights
- Dallas to Seattle, commencing July 8, 2024, with two flights daily

Moreover, the airline will reinstate seven routes that have been unavailable since before the pandemic; many of these connect to cities renowned for their outdoor activities, including:
- Atlanta to Burbank (near Los Angeles), commencing June 7, 2024, with daily flights
- Atlanta to Oakland, commencing June 7, 2024, with daily flights
- Atlanta to Reno (providing easy access to Lake Tahoe), commencing June 7, 2024, with daily flights
- Anchorage to Detroit, commencing June 7, 2024, with daily flights
- Columbus to Salt Lake City, commencing June 7, 2024, with daily flights
- Santa Barbara to Salt Lake City, commencing June 7, 2024, with two flights daily
- Detroit to Sacramento, commencing July 8, 2024, with two flights daily

Delta’s expanding route network
In addition to new and returning routes, Delta is also boosting the frequency of flights on three routes starting in 2024:
- Atlanta to Colorado Springs, increasing from one to two daily flights
- Atlanta to El Paso, increasing from two to three daily flights
- Atlanta to Sacramento, increasing from three to four daily flights
In 2024, Delta intends to offer year-round service to and from Aspen from both Atlanta and Los Angeles (currently available only in winter).
