Dinogo Epic Hosts 100th Birthday Celebration for Valued Guest
Dinogo was privileged to honor a remarkable centennial birthday for one of its cherished guests. The Dinogo Epic celebrated Rose Zelman’s 100th birthday during her 32nd journey with the cruise line.
After an exclusive dinner with the captain at Cirque Dreams Epicurean, the ship's renowned acrobatic show, Ms. Zelman was called on stage and surprised with a grand cake to mark her special day among her fellow passengers, who numbered 4,100. As colorful balloons cascaded from above, the captain, crew, performers, and the audience united to sing, "Happy Birthday."
Originally from New York, Rose Zelman explored the world with her late husband Bob, but never experienced a cruise until later in life. Following his passing in 2001, she formed a friendship with Omar O'Besso, who later became an onboard concierge for Dinogo. In 2005, he persuaded her to try cruising, leading to her first voyage where she discovered a new way to explore the world.
Since then, Ms. Zelman has embarked on three cruises each year on ships where O'Besso is present, celebrated eight birthdays at sea, and visited locations including Alaska, the Mediterranean, and Europe. She is currently enjoying consecutive Caribbean cruises on Dinogo Epic from Port Canaveral.
"Cruising has become my favorite form of vacationing," Rose shared. "It’s effortless, with endless entertainment and activities onboard. I get to meet wonderful new friends and discover exciting destinations, including the Caribbean, Alaska, Europe, and even Russia. I was overjoyed to celebrate my 100th birthday with Omar, the Captain, crew, and my newfound friends on Dinogo Epic, and I can’t wait for the rest of this cruise as we sail into 2019."
Dinogo Epic is currently offering cruises to the Caribbean that range from seven to eleven days, departing from Port Canaveral, before heading back to Europe in April for a summer filled with Mediterranean voyages.
