Dinogo Readers' Top 10 Resorts in Utah for 2024

Utah is renowned for its stunning landscapes, ranging from arid deserts with striking red rocks to vast saltwater lakes and majestic mountain ranges. It's no surprise that the state's finest resorts are located near national parks or at the base of the towering Wasatch Mountains. In Utah, the top resorts offer exceptional experiences, such as skiing alongside an Olympian or enjoying a meal in a canvas tent nestled in a high alpine meadow. Regardless, the breathtaking views are a certainty.

How the Voting Process Works

Each year, for our World's Best Awards survey, T+L invites readers to share their travel experiences from around the globe, providing insights on the best hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more. In 2024, over 186,000 T+L readers participated, casting more than 700,000 votes across over 8,700 properties (including hotels, cities, cruise lines, etc.).

Hotels were categorized as resort hotels, city hotels, inns, or safari lodges based on their location and amenities, and they were evaluated according to the criteria listed below:

For each feature, participants were able to select a rating of excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor. The final scores reflect the average of these ratings.

What Captivated Readers

Visitors flock to Utah to immerse themselves in nature, which is clearly evident in the results of the 2024 World's Best Awards survey. Notably, six of the ten winning resorts are situated in Park City, a mountain town known for having two ski areas — including the largest in the U.S. — as well as an extensive network of hiking and biking trails for summer adventures.

A guest at The St. Regis Deer Valley (No. 4) remarked, “Why would you stay anywhere else if you want to ski in Utah? It's a pleasure to gaze out at the resort we just skied to and anticipate the activities of the next day. … For a truly special experience where every need is anticipated and you can ski to your heart's content, this is the place to be!”

Beyond Park City, readers adored the desert ambiance of Ulum Moab (No. 3), a seasonal resort that overlooks Canyonlands National Park and is located just over 30 minutes from Arches National Park. One reader praised its “breathtaking scenery and location. Superb food and cocktails. Fantastic service.”
