DreamWorks Land at Universal Orlando is officially open now

For fans of "Shrek," "Trolls," and "Kung Fu Panda," there’s thrilling news! This summer, Universal unveiled an entire area dedicated to these cherished films and characters, named DreamWorks Land.
DreamWorks Land had its grand opening on June 14 — perfectly timed for the summer break.
Replacing Woody Woodpecker's KidZone at Universal Studios Florida, DreamWorks Land continues to be a favorite destination for young children and their families. It features a brand new roller coaster, interactive play zones, live shows, and opportunities to meet characters.

Upon entering DreamWorks Land, the first sight is Shrek's Swamp, complete with his towering 35-foot cottage. Here, you can meet Shrek, Princess Fiona, and Donkey. The swamp features a play area filled with slides, a playground, and a splash zone. And yes, the rumors are indeed true: there's a slide that emits farting sounds as you go down.

At the Feline Fiesta, you can also meet the various cats living with Mama Luna from "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish." Additionally, interactive screens allow you to play with the kittens.

Other attractions include King Harold's Swamp Symphony, where you can create music using interactive lily pads, and Swamp Snacks, a laid-back eatery offering treats like the Shrekzel—a Shrek-shaped pretzel served with green cheese for dipping.

Visitors can explore Trolls Village and enjoy the fun, family-friendly Trolls Trollercoaster. This coaster, suitable for all ages, showcases beloved characters from the "Trolls" movies, with cars designed to resemble the Caterbus that carries the trolls in the film. Riders must be at least 36 inches tall to participate.

Kids can have fun in Poppy's Playground, shaded by a giant 20-foot mushroom; shop for DreamWorks goodies at the High Five Hideaway; or grab a snack at Trolls Treats.

As you journey further into the land, you’ll find Po's Kung Fu Training Camp, a play area featuring both wet and dry sections inspired by the "Kung Fu Panda" films. Be ready to get splashed in the area where pandas wash and dry their laundry, equipped with water cannons and dumping buckets. There’s also a dry section with an interactive gong and merry-go-rounds shaped like noodle bowls.

You can also join Po at "Po Live!" — an interactive experience where kids can learn kung fu techniques from the legendary Dragon Warrior himself.

Meet-and-greet opportunities also take place in the DreamWorks Character Zone. During our visit, we spotted Gabby from "Gabby's Dollhouse" and characters from "Puss in Boots." Additionally, we encountered Poppy and Guy Diamond from "Trolls" near the Trollercoaster.

A visit to DreamWorks Land isn’t complete without experiencing "DreamWorks Imagination Celebration." This captivating show features music, dance, and much more. Each beloved character showcased in the land has their own moment, culminating in a spectacular DreamWorks character party at the finale.

DreamWorks Land is now open and has truly surpassed our expectations. There are countless activities for kids to enjoy independently and for families to share together. It’s definitely worth a stop on your next visit to Universal Orlando Resort.
