Exciting new Avios credit card promotions: Earn 85,000 bonus points, nearly $1,200 in travel value

Planning a major trip? Utilizing welcome bonuses from travel credit cards can help reduce some expenses, often through an international airline loyalty program.
Currently, the same offers are available on Chase's British Airways Visa Signature® Card, Iberia Visa Signature® Card, and Aer Lingus Visa Signature® Card: Earn 85,000 bonus points after making $5,000 in purchases within the first three months of opening your account.
While this isn't the largest offer we've encountered for these cards, it remains among the best. As of September 2024, TPG values Avios at a strong 1.4 cents each, meaning earning the full 85,000 Avios would yield $1,190 in value.

Are these offers worthwhile?
All three credit cards offer new cardmembers 85,000 bonus points after spending $5,000 in the first three months. As of September 2024, TPG estimates Avios at 1.4 cents each, which translates to $1,190 in rewards for any of these cards.
However, keep in mind that your Avios are not restricted to these three airlines. You can also use them for Oneworld redemptions with carriers like American Airlines, Japan Airlines, Qantas, and Qatar Airways.
In summary, the Avios you can earn from any of these cards provide significant flexibility. Considering the value of the current welcome offers and the reasonable spending requirements, now is an excellent time to apply if one of these cards interests you.
Before you apply, be aware of Chase's 5/24 rule. Additionally, note that if you've received a welcome offer for the same card in the last 24 months, you won't be eligible for a new one.
Key takeaway
If you don’t usually fly with these airlines, the offers may not justify getting any of these cards. However, frequent travelers on Avios-earning airlines or those looking to redeem points with partners like American Airlines might find these affordable Chase cards worthwhile.
