Exciting new Chase Sapphire Preferred offer: 60,000 points plus a $300 travel credit

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card stands out as one of the top travel rewards credit cards for newcomers. It excels in multiple areas: generous earning rates, excellent benefits, and flexible rewards — all for a reasonable annual fee of $95.
Now, Chase has enhanced its usual offer by adding a $300 travel credit, making it an excellent opportunity to apply for the card.
Together with Bilt Rewards points, Chase Ultimate Rewards points are among the most valuable rewards offered by any credit card issuer.

Current offer for the Chase Sapphire Preferred
New Chase Sapphire Preferred cardholders can earn 60,000 bonus points along with a $300 Chase Travel℠ credit during the first year after spending $4,000 on purchases within the first three months of account opening. According to our October 2024 valuations, this offer has a value of $1,530.
The $300 statement credit will be applied to one or more purchases made through the Chase Travel portal within the first year. You can expect to receive this credit within eight weeks after your purchases, and there's no minimum spending requirement to qualify for it.

The last time we observed a boosted bonus on this card was in May and June, offering 75,000 points (valued at $1,538).
The current offer is nearly identical to the previous one, being worth only $8 less. However, many cardholders might find this offer more appealing since the $300 travel credit is easier to utilize than the extra 15,000 points.
Chase typically provides an enhanced bonus on this card just once a year, making this year unique with a second offer. If you've been thinking about applying for this card, now is an excellent time to apply for the Chase Sapphire Preferred.
Reasons to consider applying for the Chase Sapphire Preferred
The Sapphire Preferred is definitely worth getting, especially since accumulating points after earning the welcome bonus is quite simple.
The Chase Sapphire Preferred features several generous categories for earning bonuses:
- 5 points for every dollar spent on travel booked through the Chase Travel℠ portal
- 5 points per dollar spent on Lyft (through March 2025)
- 3 points for each dollar spent on dining
- 3 points per dollar spent on select streaming services
- 3 points for every dollar spent on online groceries (excluding Target, Walmart, and wholesale clubs)
- 2 points for each dollar spent on all other travel purchases
- 1 point for every dollar spent on all other purchases
Cardholders also earn a 10% annual point bonus based on total spending during the account anniversary year, accumulating 1 point for each dollar spent. For instance, if you charge $20,000 on the card within a year, you'll receive an additional 2,000 points at the end of that period.

Furthermore, Chase Ultimate Rewards can be transferred to 14 airline or hotel partners, including prestigious programs like Air Canada Aeroplan, Air France-KLM Flying Blue, and World of Hyatt. You can enhance your rewards by booking desirable business-class tickets or idyllic stays at island resorts for much less than their cash value.
In summary
The Chase Sapphire Preferred ranks among the top travel rewards credit cards available. It offers travel protections and up to $50 in annual hotel statement credits for hotel purchases made through Chase Travel after each member's anniversary (one of my favorite benefits). This effectively offsets more than half of the card's reasonable $95 annual fee.
It's no surprise that many TPG team members continue to hold the Chase Sapphire Preferred year after year. With its easy-to-utilize perks, solid earning rates, and the value of Chase Ultimate Rewards points, it truly merits a spot in any traveler's wallet.
