The Oneworld alliance is about to welcome a new member from the South Pacific. Fiji Airways is slated to become a full member of this global alliance, as announced by Oneworld leaders on Monday.

On the other hand, Oman Air, headquartered in Muscat, Oman, is projected to join the alliance in the coming months, two years after it was revealed as a future member.

The addition of these two airlines will result in a 15% growth for Oneworld, one of the three leading global airline alliances. It includes U.S. airlines like American Airlines and Alaska Airlines, as well as international partners such as British Airways, Iberia, Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific, and Japan Airlines.

According to a statement released Monday, as a fully-fledged Oneworld member, Fiji Airways will offer a complete range of benefits to Oneworld Emerald, Sapphire, and Ruby customers, including the ability to earn and redeem miles, accumulate status points, enjoy priority check-in and boarding, and access lounges.

Tabua Club members of Fiji Airways will also benefit when flying with Oneworld partners.

Fiji Airways operates a fleet of 21 aircraft, featuring a wide-body lineup of Airbus A330 and A350 jets, all designed in a two-class configuration of business and economy.
