Important Considerations Before You Book

While a 25 percent cancellation fee might be applicable, Amtrak is waiving all change fees for bookings made by April 30, 2022, should you need to adjust your travel plans.

Amtrak has lifted capacity limits, allowing you to view real-time seat availability. Under federal law, all passengers and employees aged two and older must wear a face mask while onboard, only removing it while eating, drinking, or taking medication. Per Amtrak policy, “Neck gaiters, open-chin triangle bandanas, face shields, and masks with valves, mesh material, or any openings are not considered acceptable face coverings.”

Along with enhanced cleaning and sanitization procedures at stations and onboard, Amtrak has assured that all trains are fitted with filtration systems that refresh the air in the cars every four to five minutes.
