Introducing Forest, the world's tallest giraffe.

A male giraffe at an Australian zoo has earned the title of the tallest giraffe globally, reaching an impressive height of 5.7 meters (18 feet, 8 inches).
Forest, a twelve-year-old giraffe at Australia Zoo in Queensland, is so exceptionally tall that Guinness World Records had to create a custom measuring pole, which was set up next to his hay dispenser to accurately measure his height.
Capturing Forest’s height took several months, as the team used photos and videos to document the measurements, with Forest gradually becoming accustomed to the new feeder.

Born in 2007 at Auckland Zoo in New Zealand, Forest moved to Australia Zoo, managed by the Irwin family, at the age of two. Since joining the zoo's breeding program, he has fathered 12 calves, with another one expected soon.
Giraffes, the tallest living species on Earth, typically reach heights between 15 and 18 feet.
Giraffes are classified as 'vulnerable' by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, with some subspecies listed as 'endangered' or 'critically endangered.'
Bindi Irwin, the daughter of the late Steve Irwin, shared with Guinness World Records:
"Our beloved Forest has officially earned a spot in the Guinness World Records as the tallest living giraffe! We are so proud of our magnificent boy; he truly has a heart of gold,"
She continued, "Giraffes are facing significant challenges in the wild, and we are honored to do our part to help ensure this incredible species survives for future generations."
