Is the Mysterious ‘Jetpack Man’ Back Near LAX?

Air traffic controllers issued a warning to pilots after reports of a ‘man in a jetpack’ flying near Los Angeles International Airport.

“Be cautious, the jetpack guy is back,” said an air traffic controller in an audio clip obtained by Dinogo. “Let me know if you spot him.”

A spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that a Boeing 747 pilot reported seeing an object that could have been a jetpack around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, approximately 15 miles east of the airport at an altitude of 5,000 feet.

The spokesperson stated that air traffic controllers notified pilots in the area as a precautionary measure.

“SkyWest 3626, did you spot the UFO?” an air traffic controller asked during one transmission.

“We were looking, but didn’t see Iron Man,” replied the pilot.

Several planes received the alert as they neared LAX, but flight crews reported not seeing anyone in a jetpack.

This isn’t the first time ‘Jetpack Man’ has been spotted near LAX.

In October, a crew from China Airlines reported seeing a person in a jetpack flying at around 6,000 feet.

Last August, two commercial flights reported spotting a person with a jetpack, including an American Airlines crew who claimed the individual flew within 30 yards of their aircraft.

The FBI and FAA are currently investigating these sightings.
