JetBlue Launches Amsterdam Flights with Special Fare Discounts
Following its announcement earlier this year to add a third European destination—Amsterdam—JetBlue successfully launched its inaugural flights to the Dutch capital on Tuesday, offering round-trip fares starting at $499 for a limited time, providing travelers with an affordable transatlantic option amidst the rising international airfare trends this year.
JetBlue is now providing direct flights from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS), with non-stop service from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) set to commence on September 20.
Flights from New York’s JFK leave daily at 10 p.m. and arrive in Amsterdam the next morning at 11:35 a.m. Return flights depart Amsterdam at 1:35 p.m. and arrive in New York at 4 p.m. Additionally, Boston flights will take off from Boston every day at 8 p.m., landing in Amsterdam at 9:35 a.m. the following day, with returns from Amsterdam scheduled for 11:35 a.m., arriving back in Boston at 2 p.m.
The Amsterdam routes are serviced by Airbus A321 LR aircraft—narrow-body, single-aisle planes designed for longer distances. These aircraft include 24 Mint suites, JetBlue’s business class offering with lie-flat seats and sliding doors, plus two spacious Mint Studio seats that feature a bed, extra seat, and table. In addition, there are 114 economy seats, complete with JetBlue's hallmark amenities such as “the most legroom in coach,” seatback screens featuring live and on-demand TV, free Wi-Fi, and complimentary snacks and beverages.

Round-trip fares for economy seats on the new Amsterdam route start at $499 for travelers from the U.S., and at 399 euros (approximately $445) for those originating in the Netherlands. Mint seats are currently priced from $2,199 round-trip for U.S. travelers and 1,599 euros (about $1,735) for those from the Netherlands.

JetBlue made its transatlantic debut in August 2021 by acquiring slots at London Heathrow that became available as travel paused during the pandemic. Last summer, the airline secured permission to keep these slots permanently. On October 29, JetBlue introduced a second daily flight from New York’s JFK to London Gatwick (where it started operations later in 2021), increasing the daily frequency between New York and London to three flights. JetBlue’s Boston to Gatwick service commenced in August, followed by flights from Boston to Heathrow in September.
