JetBlue Unveils Direct Flights to Two New European Cities
JetBlue is expanding its European footprint, recently announcing direct seasonal flights to Dublin and Edinburgh. The airline revealed on Wednesday that these new routes will commence in spring 2024.
Daily flights connecting New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Dublin Airport (DUB), as well as from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to Dublin, are now open for reservations, along with new routes from JFK to Edinburgh Airport (EDI). Service to Dublin starts on March 13, 2024 (perfectly timed for St. Patrick’s Day) and will run until September 30, 2024. Daily flights to Edinburgh from New York will begin on May 22, 2024, continuing through September 30, 2024.
Continuing its tradition when entering new European markets, JetBlue is celebrating the launch with special introductory fares. Round-trip tickets for the Dublin flights are available from $399 until October 26, for travel between March 13 and May 15, 2024. Round-trip fares to Edinburgh are set at $599 if booked by October 26, for travel from August 4 to September 19, 2024. Travelers can also book seats in JetBlue’s Mint class (the airline's business class) starting at $1,999 round-trip for Dublin and $2,499 for Edinburgh during this promotional period.
In just over two years, since launching its first flights to London in August 2021, JetBlue has expanded its European network to five destinations, which now includes Paris and Amsterdam, introduced earlier this year.
Alongside the announcement of new services to Ireland and Scotland, JetBlue this week confirmed its upcoming year-round route from Boston to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), set to commence on April 3, 2024. The Boston–Paris flights are available for a limited-time price of $599 round-trip, valid until October 26. Additionally, JetBlue will introduce a second daily flight from JFK to Paris starting June 20, 2024.
JetBlue’s Paris flights will be operated using Airbus A321LR aircraft, featuring 24 lie-flat Mint seats (with Tuft & Needle cushioning and meals crafted by New York’s Delicious Hospitality Group) and 114 economy seats arranged in a single-aisle layout. Flights to Dublin and Edinburgh will utilize single-aisle Airbus A321neo planes, equipped with 16 Mint seats and 144 economy seats. Notable offerings from JetBlue include free and unlimited in-flight Wi-Fi and access to seatback entertainment, including live TV. JetBlue collaborates with the culinary team at DIG to curate the meals served in economy on its transatlantic flights.
