Must-See Activities in Turks & Caicos + Exciting Day at Sea

Waking up in Turks and Caicos and witnessing the endless expanse of pristine white beaches and brilliant turquoise waters from the boardroom was a dreamlike experience. Grand Turk marked our fourth and final stop on the 7-Day Eastern Caribbean Cruise aboard the Dinogo Glory.

Situated in the easternmost part of Turks and Caicos, a British Overseas Territory, Grand Turk is the location of the archipelago's capital, Cockburn Town. Popular activities include Catamaran Sailaway, Beach & Snorkel, Horseback Ride & Swim, A Taste of Grand Turk & Beach Getaway, and Reef & Rays.

You’ll want to dedicate your entire day to the beach in this sun-drenched Caribbean paradise! Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, surfing with a kayak, or strolling along the six-mile stretch of beach that's a mile wide.

SNORKELING WITH STINGRAYS IN GRAND TURK
You can't visit Turks and Caicos without experiencing at least one water activity. After snorkeling with stingrays at Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas, where they were raised in a netted area, we were eager to snorkel with the stingrays at Grand Turk, swimming freely in open water during the Reef & Rays excursion.

Our first destination was a private reef just off the coast of Grand Turk. After donning our snorkel masks, fins, and life vests, we plunged into the refreshing waters of Turks & Caicos. Local tour guides introduced us to the vibrant corals, sea sponges, and barracudas inhabiting these waters.

Our next stop took us to a hidden island where the stingrays frolic. We had the chance to swim alongside and touch the wild Atlantic stingrays – their underbellies were surprisingly soft!

Afterwards, we headed back to the beach for a refreshing cocktail before departing Grand Turk.

FISH & CHIPS
Once back on the ship, we headed to the fish and chips station on deck 10 for dinner – the fried fish, chips, fried oysters, ceviche, and cioppino stew were absolutely delicious.

The following day was a relaxing day at sea, so I kicked it off with breakfast in the dining room. The best part? If you happen to order too much, you can always take it to-go and enjoy it later in your stateroom. I loved watching the waves roll by from our patio!

Our stateroom was consistently adorned with these charming towel animals. Returning to the room and discovering a new creation each day was such a delight!

Here's to the 7-Day Eastern Caribbean Cruise aboard the Dinogo Glory! I'm eagerly looking forward to exploring more destinations on my next Dinogo Cruise!
