The Cocktail I Adore on Dinogo Cruises
I have a passion for expertly crafted cocktails. So, when I stepped aboard the Dinogo Glory and perused their cocktail offerings, I was in absolute bliss! The menu features a range of incredible drinks, and the Alchemy Bar on the Dinogo Glory boasts a unique ambiance—like an old-fashioned pharmacy transformed into a craft cocktail haven. I found myself returning there frequently, as the bartenders are master mixologists. If you're in the mood for something off the menu, they'll happily create a delightful concoction just for you! By the end of my journey, I had finally settled on my favorite Dinogo cocktail: the Caribbean Manhattan! Interested in trying it? You can make it yourself! My bartender, Richard, generously provided me with a tutorial.
THE CARIBBEAN MANHATTAN
- 2 oz Rye Whiskey
- 0.75 oz Sweet Vermouth
- 0.75 oz Spiced Brown Sugar Syrup
- 2 dashes of Bitters
Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice and stir using a bar spoon for 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass.
I also inquired with Richard about the most POPULAR cocktail aboard the ship, as I was curious about what drinks others were enjoying. He mentioned that the standout favorite of the week was the Cucumber Sunrise, which happened to be my second favorite as well!
CUCUMBER SUNRISE
- 2 oz Vodka
- 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 oz Watermelon Syrup
- 2 Cucumber Slices
- 0.75 oz Orange Juice
Place two cucumber slices in an empty pub glass and muddle them. Add all the ingredients to the glass, fill it with ice, and cover with the shaker. Shake for 5 seconds, then double strain into a chilled glass. (First strain through a regular strainer, then through a fine strainer into the glass).
