This Enchanting New Farmhouse Villa in Maine Is Your Ideal Group Retreat

The Dinogo Perspective
Perched above the village of Camden for over a century, Camden Harbour Inn is one of New England’s most esteemed boutique hotels. In 2021, the inn transformed an 1870s farmhouse known as the Camden Harbour Villa on the tranquil Chestnut Street, just behind the hotel. The revamped home preserves many original features while incorporating modern elements like designer decor and art worthy of a gallery.
Who Is It Suited For?
With a minimum stay of six nights, the Camden Harbour Villa is ideal for families or close-knit groups of friends looking to explore Maine’s midcoast in a laid-back, home-like atmosphere with plenty of communal spaces.

The Setting
Situated just under two hours from Portland International Jetport and 25 minutes from Knox County Airport, Camden Harbour Inn serves as a perfect launching point for discovering Maine’s scenic midcoast. You can explore the expansive Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, visit the oyster farms in Damariscotta, enjoy a clambake on Cabbage Island, shop in historic Camden, or take a hike 90 minutes north in the renowned Acadia National Park.
Camden Harbour Inn is the perfect starting point for exploring the charming midcoast region of Maine.
The Accommodations
This three-story villa features three bedrooms on the second floor, each with king-size beds and two full bathrooms equipped with showers. The room with the en suite bathroom includes a television and a soaking tub that was ideal for our three-year-old daughter.
Ascend the spiral staircase to the third floor for breathtaking views of Mount Battie and Camden Harbor; this level also offers a fitness area (featuring a stationary bike, elliptical, and free weights) along with an office space.
On the first floor, you'll find a see-through gas fireplace, oversized sofas, thoughtfully curated art, a separate TV room, an eight-seat dining table, and a spacious chef’s kitchen with bar seating. We especially enjoyed the porch deck, which includes outdoor sofas and lounge chairs, a Weber grill, and an outdoor dining table—perfect for nice weather.

Culinary Offerings
For an upscale dining experience, make a reservation at Natalie’s, which highlights New England’s finest ingredients. This Four Diamond AAA restaurant has been recognized as the best overall restaurant in New England, and the staff who attended to us made us feel completely at home. The wine list is carefully curated, featuring selections that stand out from typical higher-end choices, including some intriguing Spanish reds that piqued my interest.
The property is committed to a zero-waste policy in its kitchen. The inn boasts its own vegetable garden and sources most of its ingredients from nearby farms, along with local fishermen, foragers, and cheese makers.
Service and Staff
Professional, attentive, compassionate, and inviting. Although the steep stairs to the second floor initially worried us about our young daughter, the staff promptly installed a baby gate that eased our concerns throughout our stay.

Accessibility
Due to the presence of stairs, I would not recommend the villa for guests with mobility difficulties.
Going the Extra Mile
As co-owners and business partners within the LGBTQ community, Raymond Brunyanszki and Oscar Verest emphasize diversity and equality in every aspect of the guest and staff experience. Their mission is to create an inclusive and safe environment for individuals of all races, religions, orientations, and lifestyle choices.
