United’s 2/22/22 Promotion Features One-Way London Award Flights for 22,000 Miles

While the date 2/22/22 may not have any official significance, several airlines are celebrating this Tuesday, dubbed “Twosday,” with discounts on flights to London. We’re definitely on board, especially now that fully vaccinated travelers can skip COVID tests to enter the United Kingdom.

United: Fly to London from 8 U.S. cities starting at 22,000 miles one way

As a United MileagePlus member, you can secure an award flight on any of United’s 22 daily nonstop routes to London from the U.S. for just 22,000 miles each way in economy, plus taxes. Tickets must be booked on United.com or via the United mobile app on February 22, 2022.

This promotion is applicable for flights scheduled between March 1 and November 15, 2022.

As round-trip purchases are mandatory, you'll need to use 44,000 miles along with taxes and fees starting at $210. A search for award tickets reveals one-way fares beginning at 30,000 miles for travel dates after November 15. This means you could save 16,000 miles on a round-trip with this promotion (taxes remain fairly consistent, whether on sale or not).

The 22 nonstop flights to London Heathrow include:

• 3 daily flights from Washington, D.C. (IAD)
• 3 daily flights from San Francisco (SFO)

If you lack a stash of credit card points or miles to use, you can still grab discounted round-trip fares to London from New York starting at $349 through JetBlue’s London for Less Sale, available for just two days from February 22 to February 23, 2022. This offer is valid for round-trip flights occurring between March 10 and May 23, 2022, with a Saturday night stay included.

JetBlue, which introduced its first transatlantic flights in 2021, is providing round-trip tickets from JFK to Gatwick starting at $349 for its “core” or economy seats, and $1,939 for its lie-flat Mint suites. Round-trip fares from JFK to Heathrow begin at $399 for core and $1,999 for Mint during this promotion.

You can also combine flights and hotels with JetBlue Vacations to save $400 on your getaway. Bundled vacations require a minimum spend of $2,000 and must be booked by February 28, covering travel dates from March 4, 2022, to January 15, 2023.
