As the fun and friendly brand within IHG, Kimpton surprises guests with complimentary offerings a few times each year. All it takes is learning a few "secret" phrases.

In time for the summer travel season, the new Kimpton secret password is back: "Good for the sol."

From May 24 to September 2, saying this magic phrase can unlock a variety of perks, including free botanical cocktails, a complimentary in-room movie, or an upgrade to your room. TPG readers have enjoyed great success with past Kimpton secret passwords.

My family has enjoyed using the secret password multiple times. At the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Denver, each child got to spin the prize wheel, and we won a complimentary in-room movie along with snacks.

In line with the "good for the sol" password theme, IHG Hotels & Resorts is launching the Summer Soiree, a new seasonal experience running from June 1 to September 2 across its luxury and lifestyle brands in the Americas. During this event, guests at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Vignette Collection, and Hotel Indigo can enjoy a variety of sensory experiences and activities inspired by the warmth of summer days and evenings.

Kimpton will also revive its intimate concert series, Kimpton Off the Record, in partnership with Coca-Cola. Kicking off at the Kimpton Epic Hotel in Miami on June 12, the event will feature musical duo Drama and support Kimpton's nonprofit partner, National Urban League. Additional Off the Record events will be held at selected Kimpton hotels later this year.
