Visiting the UK during Covid-19: Essential information for travelers

If you're considering a trip to the UK, here's everything you should know and expect before traveling during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Key Information
The UK experienced some of the highest Covid-19 death tolls worldwide, leading to repeated lockdowns. In early 2022, the Omicron variant spread rapidly throughout the country.
Since then, case numbers have decreased, and all Covid-related restrictions have been lifted across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
Currently, there are no Covid-related travel restrictions for international visitors to the UK.
What to experience
London is just the beginning of the UK's treasures. Beyond the capital's stunning architecture and vibrant nightlife, the country offers rugged Scottish Highlands, tranquil Welsh lakes, expansive Cornish beaches, and charming historic cities like Bath, Oxford, and Harrogate.
Who is eligible to visit
Anyone can enter the UK without any additional testing or quarantine requirements, regardless of their vaccination status.
What are the current travel restrictions?
At the moment, there are no Covid-related travel restrictions for international travelers to the UK.
Travelers no longer need to complete a Passenger Locator Form before entering the UK.
Red List Countries
The UK classifies destinations into 'red' and 'green' categories. Currently, no countries are on the 'red' list.
Previously, travelers from red list countries had to quarantine in designated hotels, but the hotel quarantine system was fully discontinued at the end of March 2022.
In March, the UK government stated it would keep a range of contingency measures in place, ready to be activated if concerning new Covid variants arise.
Green List Countries
Any destination not on the red list is classified as green. Currently, all destinations are considered green, but this doesn't mean all green list countries will allow unrestricted entry for UK travelers.
Anyone arriving from green list countries can enter the UK without additional testing or quarantine requirements, regardless of their vaccination status.
