Experience a Dior-Designed Tree House Spa in Sicily—But Don’t Wait Too Long!

These are not your childhood tree houses. The new spa treatment rooms at the Grand Hotel Timeo, a Belmond Hotel in Taormina, Sicily, offer an elevated blend of style and wellness, perfect for even the most discerning luxury seekers.

To mark the hotel’s 150th anniversary, Belmond has teamed up with the legendary fashion and fragrance brand Dior to create two exclusive pop-up spa tree houses named Le Jardin des Rêves Dior Spa, available only until October 2023. The interiors, crafted by Dior's creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri, showcase designs by ThirtyOne Design + Management, featuring one single and one double cabin.

Embracing the lush surroundings, Chiuri has reimagined the iconic Dior Toile de Jouy pattern in a soothing green for the suites' drapes. Inside, guests can enjoy bamboo and rattan seating, elegant brushed brass lamps, and organic fabric sheets. With stunning sea views, the suites are nestled among cypress trees, part of a heritage garden designed by English noblewoman Florence Trevelyan in 1882.

The treatments focus on Dior skincare, tailored for warm weather. To enhance your tan, try the Dolce Vita Solar Glow treatment, which includes sunblock application for daytime sessions and after-sun balm for evening relaxation. For those seeking anti-aging care, the Dior Prestige Haute Précision facial is a must.

The tree house spa suites provide a unique experience at this esteemed luxury retreat, which has been welcoming guests since 1873 as Taormina’s first hotel, offering views of Mount Etna and access to Sicily’s stunning beaches. Grand Hotel Timeo boasts a remarkable roster of past visitors, including Gustav Klimt, Audrey Hepburn, Tennessee Williams, and D.H. Lawrence, who penned parts of Lady Chatterley’s Lover here.

The Jardin des Rêves Dior Spa marks yet another collaboration between Dior and Belmond, a luxury hospitality group known for its exquisite hotels, train services, and river cruises. Following a successful pop-up spa at Splendido, a Belmond Hotel in Portofino in 2022, the spa returned this summer due to its popularity. In 2023, Belmond also introduced a Dior Spa partnership aboard the Royal Scotsman train.
