Priority screening
This week’s most recent travel news and stories.
- Updated testing guidelines. Due to rising COVID cases, the CDC now advises that everyone (irrespective of vaccination status) should get tested before taking domestic flights.
- Anticipate heavy traffic this weekend. The FHA has indicated that more drivers are on the road, despite rising gas prices – so plan for holiday congestion this weekend.
- Embracing wellness. With a surge in wellness tourism, hotels and airlines are joining this trend by providing options to relax while traveling.
- Airport concession price limits. Transit authorities have implemented price caps on concessions in NYC-area airports to curb overcharging. (Could this happen everywhere?)
- Reduced flights for summer. In anticipation of increased travelers, numerous US airlines have opted to decrease flight numbers to minimize cancellations.
