You can still book these hotel packages for Labor Day weekend!

In the late 1800s, labor activists encouraged Congress to establish a national holiday on the first Monday of September to honor the hardworking individuals of the U.S. Today, 130 years later, Labor Day is popularly recognized as a three-day weekend that marks the end of summer. It’s often seen as the last opportunity for travelers to hit the road, catch a flight, or enjoy a staycation at a local hotel, soaking up some final sunny relaxation before the school year starts, days get shorter, and pumpkin spice season kicks in.
As per Dana Studebaker, vice president of marketing at BeachBound Vacations, Labor Day weekend is typically the least crowded of the summer holidays, which is a relief after the busy Fourth of July this year.
"Last year, Labor Day weekend experienced a 13% decline in reservations compared to the average summer weekend, along with a 24% decrease in passenger traffic," says Studebaker, noting that this reduction in traffic and bookings allows travelers to enjoy a more relaxed vacation atmosphere with fewer crowds and often lower prices.

A getaway for fans of 'The Bear': Thompson Denver

If binge-watching the third season of "The Bear" on FX/Hulu has you cooking in clogs, organizing your ingredients, or debating the virtues of microgreens versus regular lettuce, then say "yes, chef!" and plan a visit to one of Denver's newest and chicest hotels.
From its inception, a major draw of Thompson Denver was the promise of chef Ludo Lefebvre launching his first French brasserie outside Los Angeles. Chez Maggy has quickly become a must-visit all-day eatery, and with the Culinary Bootcamp Package, food enthusiasts can dive deeper into the culinary world. The experience includes a short-term stage (pronounced "stazhje") with the kitchen team, where you can learn to slice, dice, and master Lefebvre's famous omelets, including his unique take on the classic Denver style. Additionally, a $300 credit allows you to savor your creations alongside those of the professionals. You'll also receive $50 for the lobby coffee bar and $150 for the social club above. Plus, you get a Messermeister Kawashima chef knife to take home.
After wrapping up your work for the weekend, the Thompson's prime LoDo location places you just minutes away on foot, by car, or pedicab from Denver's major attractions like Meow Wolf, breweries, sports stadiums, dining spots, and the train station.
Rates at Thompson Denver begin at $299 or 17,000-23,000 World of Hyatt points per night. The Culinary Bootcamp package starts at $2,000 and must be reserved directly with the hotel via email. If Labor Day doesn't work for you, the offer is expected to be available through December.
A retreat for first responders: Hawks Cay Resort

Sometimes, going big is the way to go. This is evident when a large East Coast resort takes the time each year to honor firefighters, search-and-rescue teams, law enforcement, nurses, doctors, active military personnel, and veterans with a Heroes Salute Tribute Weekend during the three-day holiday.
Hawks Cay, a vibrant Florida Keys destination celebrating its 40th anniversary (with special deals for the occasion!), is filled with exciting activities, including a dock party, live music, a 5K Run/Walk, a touch-a-truck event, and a dinner culminating in a spectacular fireworks display over the Atlantic. With so much on offer, guests may struggle to find time for the five pools, paddleboarding in the saltwater lagoon, tennis, or biking—all included with each visit.
Special guests are honored for their service and sacrifices with rates starting at $175 and a variety of perks, including a commemorative coin; complimentary beer, wine, and well cocktails at four signature restaurants; and various discounts on group snorkel tours, sunset catamaran cruises, scuba diving, craft classes, aquarium experiences, dockage fees, spa services, and fishing charters.
If you're not a first responder but are seeking some relaxation in Hawks' expansive 7,000-square-foot spa and fitness center, you're in luck. A Heroes Supporters discount of 15% is available until Christmas for anyone who donates $5 or more to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
The starting nightly rate for Hawks Cay Resort is $279 or 87,000 I Prefer points.
Enjoy star-studded sips on the Sunset Strip: The London West Hollywood
Sunshine enthusiasts can enjoy a legendary experience at this luxurious 226-room landmark with a British flair, located on one of Los Angeles' most iconic streets, thanks to a collaboration with John Legend. The London has partnered with the acclaimed singer to introduce a new outdoor dining option. With a 110-seat screening room that frequently hosts premieres, a Vivienne Westwood-inspired two-level penthouse, previous culinary connections to Gordon Ramsay, and a prime location near famous rock venues (like the Whisky a Go Go, The Roxy, and The Viper Room), this hotel places guests right in the heart of Hollywood's vibrant scene.
The ambiance at Legend and LVE at The London Rooftop, now extended through October, is enchanting. As the sun dips behind the Santa Monica Mountains and the lights of downtown and Hollywood shimmer from Venice, diners can relax poolside or beneath a cabana, perusing menus by the glow of the fire pit. With inspiration from Legend's wife Chrissy Teigen's cookbook, chef Anthony Keene has crafted a three-course prix fixe meal featuring the 2019 People's Sexiest Man Alive's favorite dishes, such as short rib ravioli, fried chicken with hot honey butter, spicy miso pasta, and French onion soup. Guests can also choose à la carte specialties from across the pond like beef Wellington for two or English pea and morel risotto, each course perfectly paired with a selection from Legend's new drinkable venture, LVE Wines.
When the bill arrives, guests will find it just a quick elevator ride back to their rooms before applying the $100 food-and-beverage credit included with the booking of the Endless Summer Escape package. This offer also features complimentary valet parking each night and discounted room rates.
The starting room rate at The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills is $499 per night.
Celebrate with flair at The Eliza Jane

With its lively atmosphere filled with drinks, bayou tours, beads, brass bands, beignets, crawfish boils, and steamboat rides on the majestic Mississippi, it's nearly impossible to have a dull moment in the Big Easy. This is especially true if you find a fantastic deal at a charming boutique hotel rich in local history, just steps from the French Quarter, like The Eliza Jane (which, of course, features in our list of the best hotels in New Orleans).
To help travelers enjoy a good time for less, the 196-room hotel—housed in the historic structures of ten warehouses that previously served as a gunpowder factory, Peychaud Bitters distillery, and the printing hub for The Daily Picayune—is offering the Spring into Summer Package. This deal gives guests up to 15% off the best available rates, along with a tote bag and two complimentary to-go cocktails in souvenir cups from the lobby bar, The Press Room. Start your adventure with drinks before exploring the Garden District with Two Chicks Walking Tours, and end the day enjoying music at Preservation Hall or visiting a mysterious cemetery.
The starting room rate at The Eliza Jane is $160 per night, or can be booked using 17,000 to 23,000 World of Hyatt points.

Mexico is always a fantastic choice—especially if your vision of paradise features tacos, tequila, and basking in the sun while listening to the sound of crashing waves. If your dream vacation also includes a stylish resort serving even more tacos, ceviche, chips and guacamole, chilaquiles, and risotto made with cactus and locally caught fish, we have just the place for you.

They feature private pools, standalone soaking tubs, and some of the most stunning outdoor showers around.
The starting room rate at Kimpton Mas Olas is $550 per night; IHG One Rewards members can stay for 87,500 points per night. The Baja Bliss package will range from $1,300 to $1,700 per night over Labor Day weekend.

Sporty Sin City sojourn: Fontainebleau Las Vegas

Pickleball has exploded in popularity across the nation, and given that sports enthusiasts have long made Las Vegas their destination for thrilling professional events, it was inevitable that top paddlers like Ben Johns, Anna Leigh Waters, Olympic gold medalist Jack Sock, and Wimbledon finalist Genie Bouchard would bring their skills to the desert. For those who prefer watching a movie to a pickleball match, the property hosts family-friendly films at the 6-acre Oasis Pool Deck on Sundays throughout the summer. The Oasis Cinema Club invites guests to enjoy this dive-in experience for free, though snacks like hot dogs, churro bites, paletas, and three varieties of popcorn are available for purchase. Don’t worry, you can use the daily $50 food and beverage credit included in the Escape to Luxe package toward your order. (This credit can also be applied at the Lapis Spa.) Booking this package grants you up to 20% off a Gold- or Bleau-level room.
