This could have been a really nice experience, but we were unlucky with this accommodation. Being the 6th accommodation, we could compare the quality of service with the other places we've been to, and the money you pay for what you get is not worth.What we liked:- the pool was niceNegatives:1. I know ants are generally a problem in Thailand, but here we're literally out of control. Some insect repellant treatment would have minimize the number of ants2. Kitchen had minimum ustensils, not to mention no stove. No dish soap, minimal cutlery, no cutting board, nothing. It's a kitchen only in the papers3. Poorly maintained. Rust, broken towels, broken soap dispensers, etc4. When we arrived, the furniture was full of dust, so we had to wipe it by ourselves. The soap dispensers were almost empty, and5. Minimal cleaning services. When the cleaning ladies would come to refill the shower gel, they will only minimally refill it. + similar stingy/ poor mentality behavior.6. By fast the biggest problem for us was the malfunction of AC. We stayed 10 days. We communicated them that the AC was not working day 1. They cleaned it after 2 days. But the problem was from the lack of freon. Two days later we told them about the issue. They came and refilled it with the gas, that only lasted for 2 days. Our last day there were horrible due to heat and due to AC running out of freon. The AC is 13 years old, and this is another sign of poor maintenance.Even if we got their similes, we didn't feel welcome and it feels that the place is simply made to make money. Maintenance is minimal and the interest to find sustainable and long term fixes is simply not there.

Descent hotel not too far from the beach. They have a swimming pool and in general a nice set up. The breakfast was included and was OK...but nothing special.You walk about 8 min to the beach.Everything was clean and quiet in the night.They could work a bit on the friendliness of the staff. Moreover in my personal opinion, even though the island is mostly populated with Muslim people, which of course is no problem at all, I didn't like that the hotel manager was completely covered. You can only see her eyes......which again in my personal opinion is not suitable for representing the hotel as manager. I would like to see who I am talking to.Overall, it was a pleasant stay.I would book the next time directly at the beach though.

Even though it is not directly on the beach it is very well located, close to lots of restaurants. Our bungalow was large, clean, with a large bed. Well decorated. Close to the swimming pool which is very pleasant, not too small. Breakfast included, it’s very convenient. The only downside is the fruit juices included in the formula which are not fresh juices, I didn't like it. Overall I recommend for the value for money and the charm of the bungalows

Very nice resort with good location. You are able to reach anywhere easily. But the best thing by far is the service! Motorbike, extra wishes and transportation arranged immediately. Definitely coming back!

Was so impressed with this place - lovely, clean and spacious bungalow, great pool and superb food. The staff were lovely too. Just wish I could have stayed longer - I can see why people extend their stay on the island! Will definitely return one day.

Really great, we had a villa by the pool. Top class. The location 5 min from the beach, 50 m from the main road at the height. There is a good breeze in the evenings, good sunny location during the day if you don't want to be on the beach.Five star pool.Gardener, cleaning and pool maintenance every day. New water bottles and toilet paper every day.Very happy and pleasant staff, offers a driver whenever and wherever you want for a good price.Helpful with booking excursions and transport.The breakfast nothing to complain about.We stayed 14 days, we can definitely come back and highly recommend the resort.

A gem of a find. Accommodation was fantastic value for money being both spacious and well equipped. Staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Perfect place for our 4 night stay and definitely recommend. Loved this place.

After staying 2 nights in this hotel, the service is not at all worth a 3* in Thailand. Dirty and dilapidated room, some furniture in poor condition. The welcome remains very average when you know the hospitality in hotels in Thailand. Breakfast with compulsory formula, while all other hotels offer buffets. Noisy location with the main road running past.I invite you to extend your route as we did and discover other places with a much better quality/price ratio.

We had booked a family room, we found ourselves in a shed at the back of the hotel with a view of a pseudo recycling center, even though we had booked a villa with a swimming pool view. The room was dirty, the bathrooms dirty and damaged, full of ants and cockroaches. The shower was in a bad state, mold on one of the walls. Not to mention the breakfast which was frankly not good, the avocado very tough. This hotel is not worthy of a 3 star hotel in Thailand, on the beach for the same price you will find much better hotels or villas, cheaper and in better condition.

We stayed for 6 nights at Lanta Lampaya Resort.The first 4 nights were in room D22, the row farthest from the pool. This room unfortunately smelled AWFUL of sewage for 80% of the time. Like really really bad smell.Luckily when another room opened up for us (room C15) closer to the pool, there was no sewage smell at all. So obviously something is wrong with the piping in D22.I would give everything else five stars in this resort. The staff are extremely helpful and the breakfast is delicious. Pool is beautiful! Would recommend! Just obviously try to avoid D22 if possible.
