We stayed at the Lanta Sea House 11 months ago and were very satisfied.This year at the end of February things looked different. Since our room from last year was not available, we were offered a Luxury Deluxe Bungalow for 4000 baht. Photos were sent and it looked good. Unfortunately, the photos had nothing in common with the bungalow offered to us.At first glance the facility seemed fine. The first thing we complained about was the cleanliness of the toilet seat. This was inspected and found to be in order. When we were told that our bungalow had nothing to do with the photos that had been sent to us, we were told that we could move out.The bathroom was newly tiled and all joints were newly sealed with silicone. The sink was replaced with a modern one, but the base cabinet had already made history.The shower hose was broken and the toilet faucet was dripping. A kettle and two cups were available, but no coffee, tea, milk or sugar.We had rented a moped for a day and when we checked it we found that both headlights were shattered. Unfortunately, the second moped no longer had any tread on the tires, so an exchange was not possible. Then it's better to drive without headlight lenses. As dusk sets in we return as I don't like driving in Thailand in the dark.The staff in the restaurant were super friendly and attentive.The location right on the beach is just great.The breakfast was unfortunately very one-sided and typical of a 2 star hotel.We paid 2500 bath for our room last year, this year it would cost 3650 bath. A significant price increase for a 2 star hotel.You should reconsider price performance.

The location of the hotel is really great, right on a beautiful beach. You could also swim at low tide, which was not possible everywhere on Koh Lanta. Without exception, the staff were incredibly friendly, courteous and helpful. They were all wonderfully warm with our children (1 and 3 years old). We thought it was great that there were lots of children's meals and even baby food to order in the restaurant.Our room in the House Garden was fine, nothing out of the ordinary and a bit old but clean. The bungalows on the sides looked more modern and chic. After a week, the breakfast buffet was too monotonous for us because 90% of it was repeated day after day.We definitely recommend the Lanta Sea House!
