Dealing with unfriendly staff and experiencing long waits and poor quality at breakfast.Hopefully, the hotel can address these service issues to improve the experience for all visitors.

A beautiful, atmospheric hotel with a well-kept garden and lots of fragrant orchid trees. Quiet, intimate, perfect for chilling out.The rooms in the cottages are very spacious, equipped with air conditioning, fridge, safe, hairdryer, TV, large wardrobe, huge comfortable bed. Lovely, open bathroom, large, lit by daylight.For breakfast, you can choose from egg dishes, fruit, yogurt, toast, sausages and ham. Everything would be fine, but for poor communication with the staff. Despite the indication of the set, something different was brought. And so it's the same problem every day. The coffee is terrible, but the fruit juices are very tasty.The swimming pool was very nice, but unfortunately the water was always very warm and probably not cooled. The water in the jacuzzi is very cloudy and dirty with creams and oils. There are enough places to lie down by the pool, sun loungers and a platform with mattresses.Regarding the hotel's location, I recommend renting a scooter. There is no shop or any restaurant worth recommending nearby. Very close to the beach by scooter, about 2 minutes.I do not recommend the hotel laundry service, it is very expensive and the clothes were very wrinkled and carelessly folded.In general, the hotel, its style, attention to cleanliness and vegetation in this hotel charmed us from the first moment. However, after getting to know the hotel for a longer time, it became less attractive, mainly because of the service.

The room is very nice. The breakfast is also great. The location is rather out of the way and nothing works without a scooter. The service, however, was really bad and very unfriendly. No matter what it was about (scooter rental, check-in, etc.).I wasn't aware beforehand how unfriendly staff can ruin a stay in a nice hotel.

The room was beautiful! Unfortunately, the air conditioning didn't turn off at night, but that was fixed the next day. The bathroom is outside, but we didn't have any animals visiting. The beach is at least 900m away. We rented a scooter (bike) at the hotel, but this was the most complicated compared to other places where we rented a scooter. The pool was great and there was hardly anything going on. There is a laundry room.

Beautiful resort, very nice staff, tasty breakfasts and nice location. The resort has a fairly well-equipped small gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi, laundry (quite expensive, but it is there) and good massage services (at a good price). The entire resort is clean and beautiful.

The facility is really wonderful. The room with the outdoor bathtub and shower is really nice. We had a room right by the pool. Room service was so-so. The transfer to the hotel worked great. Breakfast is a little boring, we missed cheese as vegetarians. I thought it was nice that the juices were in small bottles and the yoghurt in small glasses. The iced coffee was really delicious. I found it a shame that the flyers only offered unethical elephant offers, where they don't ride, but they are fed, showered and also live in chains. We then booked “Following the Giants” ourselves, which was really impressive.

Could use some refreshing.Unfortunately there are no trash cans in the rooms.The positive thing was that we had a bungalow with a door to the other. We asked for a new one because a baby cried too often and it just wasn't right for a new one.This was made possible!Renting a scooter is possible on site but it's really rickety at 52k.The tire was flat after 400m which we then had to pay 200bhtOtherwise very comfortable beds!Breakfast ok for Thai standardsIt's a shame there's no cheese for vegetarians.The hotel has 3 stars so we would pass it on.

Everything was great. Everyone was very friendly.The gym was better than average (dumbbells up to 50lbs, squat rack, Olympic barbell, 2x25lbs, 2x10lbs, 2x5lbs plates), but some 45lbs plates were missing.The breakfast also exceeded our expectations.Rented a scooter from reception for 250 THB/day, worked very well.Rooms were nice. We especially liked the outdoor shower. They were very clean

We enjoyed our stay here at Tropicana Lanta in Koh Lanta, the room was very spacious and the outside bathroom was very nice indeed. Enjoyed showers to cool off, outside bathroom is also very spacious. The landscaping of the grounds was magnificent too. On a neutral point I think the staff were friendly enough but we have met much friendlier in the past in Thailand, perhaps down to a language barrier as English wasn’t very forthcoming in comparison to elsewhere. One of the staff was particularly helpful when an item got lost in the wash, she personally brought it back to us which we very much appreciated. The breakfast is boring and underwhelming I’m afraid, we would have appreciated more choice of fruits and eggs cooked to how we wanted them in addition to some more selections. Overall a great place to stay in Koh Lanta and bike rental is available here.

We had a wonderful time at Tropicana Lanta! We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel, we had a pool side room and we were very happy with the service, scooter rental, room, and all the plants and landscaping around the hotel.We actually very much enjoyed the outside bathroom to our surprise, we took many night time showers under the palm trees and stars!The only thing that we got a bit bored of was the breakfast, but I still think it was a good selection and the staff were so sweet!We'll definitely be back!!

We can't understand all the positive reviews at all.Negative:- Room: we deliberately booked the “best” category, which is even recommended by the hotel for couples. Our room did not correspond to the photos and the description at all. We were accommodated in a building in the second row directly on the street with corresponding traffic noise. According to the hotel, the rooms are also in the “better” category. Our room had no windows, only the front door- There is far too little light in the room. The light constantly flickers.- Bathroom: what's so great about the outside bathroom? You're constantly getting bitten, mosquitoes fly into the room and it's hot. You sweat again immediately after showering.- Toilet: the toilet was disgusting. The seat was completely yellowed and porous and it constantly smelled of feces- Shower: the shower was an imposition. Only a few drops came- Cleaning: our bathroom wasn't cleaned once during our week-long stay. The towels were dirty and stained every day!- Bed: the mattresses were completely worn out. We hardly slept at all.- Pool: the pool is in full sun. There is only shade from 3 p.m. There are not enough sun loungers- Guests: everything was there, from drunk Germans in the pool to couples changing their child next to one to screaming Russians.- Breakfast: very very basic. Toast and fried egg. Fruit only watermelon and pineapple.- Restaurant: the restaurant opens quite late and closes quite early, although it says otherwise online and in all hotel documents. Shows that the service is being severely downgraded.- Noise: the rooms are very noisy. You hear everything from your neighbor as if there were no structural separation.- Location: the location is bad. Lots of traffic noise. Not within walking distanceWe paid as much per night here as in a 4-star hotel in Europe. There is very little on offer for this.To be honest, we were happy when we left.PS: the ferry tickets cost almost 500 baht per person more at the hotel than online.
