Baan Suan Him Doi is a small resort located in Hang Dong about 30 mins away from Chiang Mai center. The owner Max is really kind and took care of us well during our stay at this location. The rooms are clean and there is aircon and wifi available.

Just stayed here 20-25 /3/67 First, I would like to praise the resort owner, Mr. Mac, for being very friendly, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is shady and cool.As for the rooms, they are private and quiet. Traveling into the city is convenient. There are many cute restaurants and coffee shops nearby. There are not many houses. Must reserve in advance. If there is a chance, will go back again.

Nice hotel with lakeside views from every room. The restaurant/beer garden is great too and has a great atmosphere when they have a karaoke night especially! We had a lovely iced coffee every morning for around £1 each! The owner, Max, is lovely and is very approachable with any concerns. The rooms were clean and spacious and the double beds were comfortable! The one problem we had was all the bugs, I know it's Thailand and right by a lake but the rooms don't seem to be bug proof at all and we woke up every morning with new bites despite bug spray and sleeping in clothes! Overall though we would stay here again if in the area, may just bring a mosquito net!

Nice place but when there is a concert, what happens often, in the nearby beer garden, you better don't think about sleeping before midnight. It's incredible loud.

Quality French fries for farang :)Relaxing place to chill for a good meal, coffee, or beer/wine. Good place for sunset.Fun experience to feed the fish from the terrace.

Stayed here while volunteering at local WVS ITC/dog rescue centre. Clean, comfortable and with an owner who will bend over backwards to accommodate your needs. The breakfasts and lunches we had at the cafe were superb and not pricey at all, smoothie bar went down well too. Nice to be out of the city and this was perfect. New beer garden in the large well kept grounds is great fun.
