La Ong Lay - ละอองเล

Very pleasant bungalow on the beach. How nice it is to fall asleep to the sound of the waves (Clean Beach). Large room and bathroom (just missing shelves to put your things on). Hot water and wifi. Housekeeping done every day. Friendly service. Too bad the restaurant prices are more expensive than the restaurants next door.

At the end of the beach, difficult to reach by scooter.Our room wasn't nice. For the money you can get much better bungalows on the island.Very poor communication in advance.In fact, we were made to feel like they didn't care about guests.

Great bungalows, right on the beach in the middle of the fine sand. So if you are sensitive to sand, you will have a problem here. You can try as hard as you want, there's always sand in the hole somewhere. (Each bungalow has a separate water connection to wash your sandy feet. Which I think is very good)Which I personally didn't think was bad. The staff is very nice and it is cleaned daily and cleaned properly.The complex actually consists of 2 accommodations. The La ong lay and the Ailey. However, there is hardly any visual difference.The journey by scooter is horrible and anyone who is afraid will probably not dare to drive there. There were guests who parked their scooters in front of the entrance and walked about 300m.The path leads between two ponds. It is very sandy, so it is easy to slip with the rear wheel. In between, coconut mats are laid out to make driving a little easier.In general, the area behind the bungalows is not that tidy. The small stream is full of old wood. There are spring cores from old beds lying around and you come across an old toilet on the way to the scooter parking lot.That doesn't bother us, but it doesn't match the price you pay and there should be an honest review here. Some people might be bothered by these little things.The beach is great! The water is crystal clear and warm. You can snorkel great and see lots of fish and corals.However, at low tide the beach is very wide and the water is so low that it is difficult to swim. But you can walk for kilometers and enjoy a perfect sunset in the evening.We have been to Thailand several times and have gotten to know different hotels in different price categories. We are not sensitive and get along well even in very simple accommodation.La ong lay has great bungalows, but in my opinion they are far too expensive.Yes, the location is perfect but the price-performance ratio isn't quite right.Nevertheless, we felt very comfortable and enjoyed our time and we might come back here for another 2-3 nights despite the high price.

Beautiful, but a bit overpriced.

Location is great cause you can go directly from the house to beach and sea, st the morning you can see hornbills around and some lizards outside the hotel area. Service is good, but overall is too expensive to what is offered, we didn't have aircon cause it was like double the price of one room. Outside the entrance you can see many rubbish and trash, i don't know what owners think, but this makes the hotel bad looking.

Nice bungalows (we had the ones with no air conditioning and partial sea view). The staff is incredible! Helping with every little thing we needed (from ferry booking to additional fans...). Best pancake ever . The spot is quiet . Even though you have to walk a little to get the restaurants .. it's worth it!It's just a bit expensive for the offered confort

The Ailay or La-ong Lay -bungalow is a basic and rather small hut with all necessary - hot water, fridge, a comfy bed and even a tv with a French news channel in English language - only lacking beach towels. You can choose a bungalow with a/c or fan.The bungalow is clean and well maintained.It is located in the tranquil far end of Long Beach, Aow Yai Beach.The restaurant serves Thai food and a good selection of breakfasts.In spite of lack of customers during the COVID epidemic the resort is well lit during the night time.The owner couple are lovely people and keep the entire area clean. They really care for their resort.The beach is around 2,5 km long, wide and a hard sandy beach. There are some dark grey stripes on the sand subject to plankton. Walking along it is very easy! Only minus point is that the beach is very shallow and one has to walk rather far into the sea to be able to swim.In this northern end swimming is easy and in the southern end of the beach the waves can be big; there are some surfing schools there. The sea water is very warm and the sand on the waterline is striped with dark grey plankton.The price should be around 1100-1600 bht/night or around 30-50 euros depending on the season.

Sea view bungalow was really nice. Bungalow was right in front of the sea, so you could watch waves from your own porch. Free kayak rent. The owners were so cool and helpful - they helped us plan our trip and also booked tickets for us. We had a really peacful and beautiful stay.

Nice location on a very nice and relaxed beach. The bungalows are very nice but a bit overpriced for the quality and comfort they offer. What bothered me was the bugs in the bathroom. We experienced quite a lot of cockroaches in the bathroom. Too many to speak of a coincidence. There was also a lot of rubbish in the entrance area to the resort. That can definitely be better.

Beautiful Scenery The house is the closet with Beach Food also delicious I gave 8/10
