Marina Resort

The beach in front of the resort is very beautiful and clean. / In the evening, there are 6 birds flying to the island. / The room is clean.

Basic bungalow with beautiful sea viewVery helpful staffVery pleasant restaurant at sunsetBut the bungalow requires some improvements which would not cost much but would change everything:Put more suitable sockets and in the right directionFix the coat racks with screws instead of gluing them...Add one or 2 pieces of furniture or shelves to place certain things next to the bed and in the bathroomRemove the false diagonal step, which is very dangerous because it is invisible...

We stayed 4 nights at the Marina Resort. We are a family with 3 children (3, 6 and 10 years old). We negotiated a room via Messenger, but in hindsight maybe we shouldn't have. The welcome was the coldest and most unpleasant of our entire trip to Thailand (1 month, 15 different resorts). Breakfast, at 350 baht, comes in the form of a sheet to fill out with choices to check off; fun on the first day, it gets boring on the fourth. The restaurant is average and expensive. Everything is paid for, business is business. 15 baht extra for bananas in cereal...and that's just one example. The bungalow is comfortable and clean. Only 2 or 3 offer a direct view of the sea. The staff is nevertheless smiling, despite a management which seems particularly authoritarian and which does not hesitate to reprimand its staff in front of customers, in English moreover, which is particularly inappropriate . We would have left earlier if we hadn't paid everything upfront, over 11,000 baht in cash, without even a smile. When we left, we were only given a meager “goodbye”. In summary, whether you are a foreign or French family, I advise you not to come here. You will easily find much better elsewhere.

The "welcome" was the worst - it was actually anything but one. We had to wait for nearly an hour to get our pre-booked room. The check-in process was cumbersome, noone smiled, they did not seem to care for us. We met a French couple, they also mentioned to have received the worst welcome experience in Thailand.The breakfast is a set one, with half a glass of orange juice, one minor piece of water melon, one cube of pineapple. My partner ordered an extra coffee, for THB 180. I asked for two slies of extra toast, they wanted to charge THB 80 for that. A whip of yogurt was THB extra.The garden definitely needs a lot of improvement, some flowers would have been nice instead of looking like a desert.Wifi is close to unavailable.On the positive side, the room is quite nice and clean and the view of the beach is amazing.Definitely not worth the money and I strongly do *not* recommend this place. It smells of a rip-off.

Just went to Koh Phayam for the first time. We chose to stay at Marina Resort because we thought it looked nice and clean, but when we arrived we were not greeted well at all. The owner looked sullen and scolded his subordinates in front of us even though we were waiting to check in. They still haven't stopped complaining to come check in with us. And the worst part is the words they spoke to us about taking orders. Speak and use a tone of voice like we are not customers. Use your voice to scold your friend for adjusting the shade. I bought it new and said it was very expensive, even though my friend is a mechanic and could adjust it well without any damage. Throughout our stay there we did not receive any smiles and good greetings even though we booked directly with the resort and paid the normal price. Didn't even reserve through the website. But what we were impressed with was the Marina accommodation. That is, the room is clean and the staff are very enthusiastic and smiling. As for us going to eat at other restaurants. which impressed the restaurant owner Kiew Lom Resort, Ao Kho Kiew and JJ Beach Resort, very warmly welcome Thai people and talk amongst themselves, even though they know that we are not staying with them, just coming to eat. (Thai people should be happy to see people in the country coming to support each other.) Definitely will not stay at Marina again and will not recommend anyone to stay. The most lost feeling ***Probably a resort that does not welcome Thai people.

Very nice and cozy bungalow complex. Clean, new but still kept simple. For example, there are no refrigerators or TVs in the bungalows, at least not in ours. But that doesn't bother you at all.It's not without reason that we extended from 4 to 8 nights!!!!A quiet place to feel good... great owners, very friendly staff, great location.Incredibly beautiful days!Would come again!!

Were there twice for breakfast, no fresh juices, we had to ask for everything, e.g. salt, sugar, pepper and so on.Through the store with me.

The resort is setup nicely at the beach. The rooms are small but equipped with aircon and hot water. However room cleaning service is only provided at every 3rd day of stay. …

to escape, the bar next door, in addition to being noisy, burned plastic every day I was there.
