Spiral Resort

I’ve been here during the low season and booked the “Bungalow garden view.” Everything I experienced was truly different from what I had read in the reviews. I don’t understand why the reviews are all amazingly good and super positive; I’m not sure if there're fake reviews. Their website is stunning, but the reality is not what's presented on social media. The place is isolated, which's good for a social detox. It's super quiet and leisurely. The surroundings are jungle, with no restaurants or bars nearby. The only way to access this place is by renting a motorcycle or walking. However, what blew my mind are...1. Poor service and lack of professionalism. I didn’t expect the standard of a 3-4 star hotel, but this place made me feel like they didn’t know how to serve guests or manage things.2. The room was quite dirty, as if no one had stayed for a long time. The quality of the stuff and furniture is incredibly poor ; everything feels cheap and unsteady. The room layout is non-functional and unengineered. There was no drinking water in the room, which was quite surprising. It’s a little detail but makes a big impression from the guest's point of view.3. The entrance was not proper. The way from the entrance to the bungalow is a narrow gravel road without any lights. During the day it’s not problematic, but at night it’s a bit dangerous. If you like some adventure and thrill, you might enjoy it tho.4. No beach, just a sea view. YES! there’s no any beach here at this location. There’s a stairway going down to the sea, but it’s full of rocks and not appropriate for enjoying the sea or swimming.5. During the low season, there are no activities here, no yoga or other classes.Please think carefully and compare other accommodations before you book. In this price range, you can find hotels, resorts, or even homestays that are much more worth it on Koh Phayam island, in terms of location, scenery, service, comfort, professionalism, and overall experience. I hope that one day you will improve from what I’m complaining about. I’m not a picky person, but if you want to run an accommodation business, you should pay more attention to details.

It’s a place in paradise, because of 6 bungalows is the place super quiet, far from the street away next to the beach, there are stairs to reach the beach, I felt safe to know no tsunami can reach me because it’s 10 meters above the sea level.|I planning to come back next year again.

we had a fantastic time at spiral resort during our recent trip to koh phayam. the location on the west side of the island (buffalo bay) was amazing - right on the beach with no neighboring properties in sight, pure peace and quiet! the heatwave in thailand wasn't a problem thanks to the air conditioning in our bungalow. spiral resort has just 6 rooms in 3 categories, and our middle-tier ac bungalow was perfect. the aircon worked great, the room was spotless, and the balcony was a fantastic place to relax. the bathroom was well-designed with a good separation between the shower and toilet. the staff were all friendly and helpful, with a special shoutout to katja who went above and beyond to assist us.a couple of things to consider: the term "resort" might be a bit misleading. while the location is stunning, there are currently no on-site facilities like a restaurant, bar, or laundry service. this wasn't an issue for us though, as we rented a scooter to explore the island's many delicious food options. the room could also benefit from a bit more storage space, but we were told this is already on their improvement list. lastly, renting a scooter is highly recommended as the resort is quite remote and the island roads are unlit at night.overall, spiral resort provided a fantastic stay on a beautiful island. highly recommended!

Let's begin with the amazing views you get and the beautiful rooms that are designed and maintained to Western standards. The guys running the place are absolutely on top of their game and know how to make us happy. My wife and I went there for a week-long stay. Every single wish we had was fulfilled within a blink of an eye. They have a bungalow right by the water which was unfortunately occupied during our stay. I recommend booking or reserving in advance other than that it was an amazing expirence.

Might be the best location in that area. Super friendly staff. The bungalow number 6 was pretty decent and a the best deal. The owner is a German guy who knows what He is doing amazing experience.

Very Pleasant stay. The Food was Amazing and there is also so much beautiful things you can do. Daily Yoga & Pilates Classes. Felt really comfortable in the bungalow
