Best beach bungalow with a front view. If you are, like me, nostalgic of 90s Thailand, you won't find a better place anywhere in Thailand! Very basic and spartiate of course, but the bungalow does have running water and electricity 👍Breathtaking direct view on the wave spot and a few steps from a surf rental.Fell in love with the smile and good heart of the family who own the place.I did cry when I left after 14 days.I will stay there again, a month this time, next year 😎🤗Thank you Smile Hut for a life changing stay and thanks to all Smile Hut crew and to The Witchdome and all travelers who made those 2 weeks a paradise

French review..The site by the sea is superb, I am used to spartan seaside bungalows, but here the price of 1100 bath is far from being justified because the bungalow is so dilapidated and without any maintenance and cleanliness doubtful .. move away from the coast a few hundred meters and you will find much better at less than half price

I was only in the cabin for one night. The bathroom was a wooden shack with rudimentary furnishings. Various animals came into the bathroom through the openings. There was no door to close between the bathroom and the bedroom. The electrical system was also somehow cobbled together. For 700Bt per night an absolute disgrace and rip-off.The staff was friendly and the location of the facility was good. The cuisine wasn't that great, but it was reasonably priced.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It's exactly what we were looking for: a simple wooden bungalow like 20 year's ago and that's what you are getting. Although not so cheap in the first row like it was in former Times, but an unbeatable Atmosphere which makes it a standing out experience on the ao yai where this approach to accomodation is nearly lost. The team of the resort is friendly, helpful and attentive, which makes you feel very welcomeIf it will still exist in the future i will come back for sure! Thank you for the good time Smilehuts!

Located right on the beach and having extremely attentive staff, Smile Hut has a very nice and relaxed atmosphere. The bungalows are very basic, clean and look nice as they're made of wood and painted white. While unsealed, the bungalows have other visitors and/or inhabitants besides the tourists (geckos, insects, even a big spider that visits the bathroom wall only at night, a rodent attracted by some fruit we had in the room and decided afterwards to hang on the terrace and the rodent left). The attached bathroom is also very basic (bucket flush, visible water pipes, etc). The electricity is limited to the evenings. While very charming atmosphere and a very enjoyable overall situation, both the bungalows and the restaurant are overpriced for what they offer.

The bungalows are all very basic, you will have electricity only during night hours, there might be the possibility to get visitors from mother nature but... location. For me it is one of the best places with good familiar atmosphere and prime location as it's at the middle of the beach near the village. And again, laying in your hammock and watching the sunset...dream location. Also the food is inexpensive and very tasty. Try the Burmese Chicken and potato Curry.

Wonderful beach huts with lovely old lady host. It doesn't get any better. Remember, it's not the Hilton. It has fans and limited electricity restricted to the evens. But it is wonderfully tranquil. I will come again.

Giving it a five stars for location and friendliness of staff. Definitely recommend if you’re good with only the basic necessities in a room. The best part of this place is that most (if not all) of the huts are on the beach front. Sizes of the rooms and balconies range from room to room but all are 5 steps from the beautiful long beach. Lastly, we only had one fish here and it was reallly good!
