**DONT GO TO THE RESTAURANT**almost every guest who had eat at the hotel's restaurant during our stay got food poisoning or felt really bad.we told to the hotel several time's about that, didn't seen like it bothered them that much.we stayed for 5 nights-the rooms are pretty nice, big, and there's a big pool.but- everyday there are problems with the hot water in the shower, which won't be fixed unless you go to the recepption and everyday they hotel staff act surprised when you come complaining at this.when we approached the hotel about this, they told us to send an email to their cosumers service so we would get a compensation.but on the day we checked out apparently all they did with the email was to wipe their butt.the other stuff were really nice tho :)

Lovely service from the staff, shuttles from and to the pier. A delicious and varied breakfast in front of a perfect view. The rooms are huge with a balcony, but the flow in the shower is not wow and there is no shower. There is a huge pool (it wouldn't hurt to clean it) and a bar in it, access to the beach and possibilities to dive and get a massage. We stayed for six nights and really enjoyed ourselves, about 10 minutes walking to the Sayari center. We were very comfortable.

I have been two times to Montra Resort for a long stay and I was satisfied every time.The staff is really kind and everybody made me feel at home.The rooms are wide and comfortable.The swimming pool is big and clean, surrounded by trees and there is also a pool-bar.Breakfast is amazing, with different kind of food from salty to sweet and fresh fruit ready to eat everyday. There is also a person that makes eggs, omelettes and waffles on request.A special thanks to Mrs Kung and all the staff that made my stay special.

This is the class example of poor management, change the management. This place could be great but even the pool bar lacks basic things like drinks and snacks you would expect at a pool bar.Additionally the room that I was staying and had a really dangerous lock meaning that it was very simple for anyone to open the door and it was also very difficult to try and lock and unlock, management really needs to address the locks on the doors. it is a safety concern.

The Montra Resort boasts an amazing location, offering direct access to a beautiful beachfront and a great pool with a convenient poolside bar. Unfortunately, that's where the highlights end for this so-called "4-star" hotel.From the moment I stepped into my room, I was greeted by cockroaches, which was an immediate red flag. The condition of the bathroom towels was shocking—large holes and a disgusting odor, even when supposedly fresh. The hotel has a policy of changing bedding every three days, which is unacceptable for a place that markets itself as a luxury resort. (See photos)The Wi-Fi at the Montra Resort was completely unusable throughout my stay. When I approached the staff about this, they dismissed my concerns, insisting that the problem was with my phone and computer rather than their network. This lack of assistance only added to my frustration.To add to the list of disappointments, there were no irons or ironing boards available. When I inquired, I was told I'd need to pay for their ironing services instead. The lack of basic amenities is disappointing, to say the least.The cleaning staff had no regard for privacy, entering my room without knocking. The door and lock provided no real security, as the flimsy door could easily be pulled open, even when locked. This was particularly concerning, given the lack of any front desk staff after 10:30 pm. For any issues after that time, you're expected to call a third-party service provider, where the hold times are frustratingly long. (See video)Overall, while the Montra Resort's location is idyllic, the numerous issues I encountered during my stay make it a place I cannot recommend. This hotel is far from being a 4-star experience.

We stayed there a few years ago and the show has progressed positively. The gardens are beautiful, everything is very clean, the rooms are large and the beds comfortable. Having stayed in many hotels in Koh Tao we give an extra star to breakfast, the restaurant room opening onto the sea is magnificent, the staff are professional and efficient, and the choice is notable. The swimming pool is large and very well maintained, the divers have a reserved area which does not bother vacationers who linger on the relaxation side. The hosts at the desk are extremely efficient. A hotel that has become a benchmark for us. It has become our favorite 😊

THE WORSE PLACE AVOID!!!My sister and I stayed at Montra resort in the delux room for 3 days. The air condition was not working and It was supposed to be an air conditioned room. Instead they put a fan in the room and the electricity kept going off throughout the day. The shower head was full of limescale and the shower water pressure was very slow and the water was also cold. The toilet was dirty and needed bleaching. We were given replacement towels each day. On our last day we went to the reception to order a taxi for the next day as we were leaving. The resort manager asked us before you leave can you settle your bill. Then she printed a paper with pictures of 4 towels that had not been washed and had mascara stains on it. The manager and another lady who was on duty 25/7/24 and 26/7/24 said to us we need to pay 1300 baht for the unwashed towels as we have damaged them. Instantly we were in complete shock as we have stayed in so many hotels, resorts and villas around the world and in Thailand and we have never had this before. We instantly felt that we were being discriminated on. We refused to pay as we could see that they hadn’t been washed. We said to them we would wash them as they’re not damaged. They managed to find 3 towels half an hour later. We were extremely upset about this and took out time from our holiday to do the housekeepers job and pay to get them washed. The next morning we were leaving at 6am my sister was getting ready in the room and a lady walks in checking everything is okay before we leave whilst my sister is getting dressed. They bought the towels we used in the morning down stair’s at reception and inspected each stain on them in front of us. We already went out of our way to wash their towels and now felt so disrespected and appalled from the service we were getting. I then expressed myself to the lady at the front desk about this and not once did she apologise for the way we were treated at the resort, They had nothing to say about the towels that we had washed and did not reimburse us for the money we spent getting them washed. It definitely ruined our trip to Koh Tao and would definitely recommend not staying here. We paid £250 to stay here and it definitely was not worth it. The lady was hesitant to give me their names(Toon, Su, Myo.I feel like she may have given me false names.Montra resort please train your staff and management team on how to treat customers as we’re paying their wages and should be treated with respect.

209. It's a sea view. It's a Seaview shower with no warm water. It's good to save water in the morning when you don't have to shower (😜cold water).It has been a place of residence for quite a long time. All equipment is still in the manual system. As for the mattress and pillows in the room, they may have undergone some changes. That is, sleeping comfortably, the pillow is just as soft as this, I'm okay.But it is a convenient place near every convenience.One disappointment when choosing to stay here is that there is a diving school but no freediving instructor. But this time, we traveled without a plan, so we didn't make a reservation.4 days 3 nights here on Koh Tao

Superior room was huge and aircon so cold had to turn it up. Lovely staff, great pool, food delicious. Chose this place as had to move from a ridiculously noisy place down the other end. Bed is ginormous and soft. Can walk everywhere or taxis nearby. Great place, will return.

The hotel facilities were nice, with great rooms, a pool, and a convenient location. We also enjoyed the food. However, the big letdown for us was repeatedly having issues with the hot water. Although the staff addressed the problem each time we reported it, it would fail again soon after. This really put a damper on our day, especially after returning from diving.

Hotel very well located next to the port and close to the main street.It is located on the beachfront, with the restaurant with spectacular views and a service of 10. Kindness, care, good treatment and a great variety of breakfast.The pool is huge and very well maintained.The worst thing was the cleanliness of the rooms, which was quite poor. The rooms were quite good, very spacious and with good views. Great pillows.Yes, I recommend the visit and the stay.

Wonderfully quiet location. You can walk into the hustle and bustle of the center within 5 minutes with bars, restaurants, shops, etc. Great place for a long-term stay. Nice and clean rooms. Breakfast was okay but quite limited. The beach where it is located was also less beautiful. Probably due to the season and the fact that it is located in a bay. Further on you can enjoy the sea. The resort also has a swimming pool where you can make a splash.
