There are two of us in a bungalow with a view of the sea. At first we were unsure whether we should book bigfish because of the bad reviews. When we arrived at the bungalow we were super happy with the house. The bathroom is renovated and clean. I think if you come here from hostels you are very lucky - but if you come from 4-5 star hotels I can understand the irritation. I'm always very picky about cleanliness and I can really feel comfortable here. The only thing that's a bit of a shame is that the water on the beach is a bit cloudy, but bigfish can't help that. Towels are provided but there are no frills in the room. Once a day you get a bottle of water per person and a roll of toilet paper per room, which you have to pick up at reception. The request for room service must be made to reception on Sundays. The bungalow has a fantastic balcony, AC and fan. We like it. Maybe we were just lucky with the space.

Very nice room by the sea. Welcoming staff. Hot shower (depending on the type of room booked I believe)

The best bungalow I had in my 2 weeks in Thailand. Value for money - great. The hotel's location right next to the beach is also a huge plus. I recommend.

Beautiful location, just a few steps and you're on the beach. All bungalows are located in a well-tended garden. From our terrace (and almost all others) you can look out to sea. Our bungalow was quite basic, but clean and you have everything you need. With the fan you can sleep well at night even without air conditioning. Staff friendly, for room cleaning and fresh towels, toilet paper etc. just let us know in advance. The associated restaurant closes quite early, we only drank coffee here. There are various cheaper places to eat along the street, which we used for breakfast. We usually eat around 8 o'clock in the evening, when the restaurant was already closed.Overall, however, a very nice, quiet, recommendable facility! Can't understand the sometimes bad reviews with sometimes very strange reasons (no automatic room service, unfriendly staff, no pickup at the pier, unkempt room furnishings). If you are looking for luxury or European standards, you are definitely in the wrong place here. But if you particularly value a beachfront bungalow that is typical of Thailand on a beautiful beach with good infrastructure (7/11, shops, restaurants nearby) at a fair price for what is on offer, you will find a great spot here. We initially booked for two nights and stayed a total of 4 nights. We would definitely go there again if we are on Koh Tao.The only reason I deduct a point is because of the restaurant's opening hours.

I put a star because it is mandatory, but I wouldn't give it a single star. We stayed two days at the resort. The facilities were good but we couldn't use the bed any of the nights we were there due to an infestation of bed bugs in the mattress. After the first night we asked for a room change since we did not plan to sleep two days in a row on the floor. They made us wait 1 hour for the boss to arrive because they didn't know if it was possible. When we arrived he told us that they only had rooms at a higher price than we had paid so if we wanted to change we had to pay the difference. He offered us room cleaning as an alternative. Thinking that they would do a deep cleaning, we accepted. It was a mistake. At bedtime bedbugs came out of the mattresses again so the only thing they did was change the sheets when the problem was the mattress. Terrible service. In the morning they made us wait until they checked that the room was in perfect condition. Obviously it was since we only used the land. Regrettable.

There were a couple of very dirty spoons in the room. We also found belongings of another guest… Cleanliness could very much be improved

I didn't stay at the hotel. But during the entire week that I was with my partner on the island, it was the place chosen to disconnect from the day having a good cocktail at a very good price and eating. The young guy who serves is always looking out for us, as is the seemingly owner.Without a doubt, next visit to Koh Tao I will value staying here! 100% recommended

We were there for the second time after 14 years. It's still a great little paradise with a very tasty adjoining restaurant.

I stayed in a room with a basic bathroom, cold water, and just a fan—no AC. Surprisingly, I slept well, and the cold water wasn't really that cold, and wasn't an issue considering Thailand’s constant heat and humidity. For the price (700 baht), the rooms are clean and the location is perfect, making it a good deal overall. You can also ask them to arrange a taxi.
