Like many reviews before us, we're happy to add our positive experience. Our stay truly deserves a 10, and here's why: clean linens, spotless bathroom, fresh water, and coffee/tea available. The fridge had water and a beer, which was a nice touch. The meals were delicious, clearly prepared with love. The surroundings were stunning, and the hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. They arranged a fantastic jungle experience for us in Khao Sok—a boat tour for about 2500 Baht. Despite the cost, it was worth every penny. Highly recommended!

A family business with very nice people. Private rooms with toilet and shower. Highly recommend staying here. The rooms are situated amongst beautiful gardens and tropical fruit trees. The food is delicious and so fresh. The hosts are super friendly and extremely helpful and generous. An incredible experience. Would definitely come back to stay again.

Truly authentic, genuine and warm. Had a fabulous time with the family and want to thank Toi and Don and the ladies of the house for hosting us. Toi was wonderful and helped us drive to the view point, a hike into the cave (with an exceptional local guide), and a day out on the lake as well us a drop back to Surat Thani.Don was a great chef and food was delicious - particularly the basic chicken and rice. The breakfast with coconut and sticky rice took me straight back home (fellow South Indians would relate). Complimentary water and coffee. A beautiful property, lush green surroundings full of birds. Rooms are simple but had everything you need.There was a language barrier, but it made me realise it is our responsibility as travelers to learn the local language, or atleast attempt to as opposed to expecting the local community to speak English or languages we are familiar with.Will be back here in a heartbeat. Thank you for hosting us, dear friends. Until we meet again.

❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The nicest accommodation so far on our 3 week trip - really special and amazing value!Such a lovely family and most beautifully organised bedroom hut and central space for food and surrounding gardens. Food delicious, nothing was too much trouble and we felt so relaxed. Family organised really reasonable taxi, trips and laundry.Thank you 🙏

The stay at Don's Toh Tao Homestay was so amazing. We got picked up from his son from Khao Lak and arrived with him in Khao Sok at his home. The homestay is a beautiful place within the national park and the family takes so much care of the place, it is lovely decorated and the garden is wonderful with the great bungalows. We got a super cute bungalow which was so clean and nice equipped. We got towels, shower equipment, toilet paper, free water all the time and free coffee and tea all the time. Don and his son helped us so much to find great tours in the national park and we did the big lake and cave tour and the bamboo rafting tour. They always made us super nice prices for transport, tours and food. We ate amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner, which Don's wife and he cooked for us and we always got some free delicious melon. We really felt like home and Don and his family is so lovely, smiling and welcoming. The place itself is so peaceful and relaxing and you can enjoy the jungle. The tours were also great and the bamboo rafting is so much fun, my boyfriend and I did the tour only the 2 of us and we were able to swim in this beautiful river which has crystal clear waters. Unfortunately, we stayed only 4 days. Don's son was so nice driving us directly to the airport in Surat Thani. We both highly recommend that if You go to Khao Sok, Go to Don's Homestay. :)

Hello my love.It was just so beautiful in Uncle Tom's Hut, that's what we called the Toh Tao Homestay in the middle of the countryside. It's simple, it's clean, it's familiar, quiet to relax and unwind. Dinner is delicious, breakfast is simple. Water is available 24 hours a day for free.

Beautiful location with beautiful new accommodations. The owner (Don) and his family are extremely nice and hospitable. Don makes his own whiskey and is happy to share it with his guests. Ti, Don's son, also picked us up from the station and took us back later. A very nice boy. The food is cheap and super tasty! All in all a 10/10 experience!

This place is like heaven. We spent there a few nights while visiting the National Park areas. The homestay itself is part of what looks like a farm (e.g. rubber collection is ongoing around). If you like the feeling of being immersed in nature, you will not regret it.The location is perfect for trips to the Koh Tao National Park, and the family running Toh Tao will help arranging the visits and transport for reasonable fees. Really recommended to do the river on bamboo rafts, which includes the possibility of swimming in the river.The rooms are lodges that will give you a feel of being immersed in nature and, although basic, they come with comfortable beds, fans, ensuite bathroom/shower, and working wifi.The service is pretty amazing, with great freshly cooked food for all meals (the kitchen is open all day, and all you have to do is ask for a meal, which come for a reasonable cost). The family made us feel very welcome and helped us with all plans and transfers.

Overall great place to stay! We had the best time and the owners are super friendly. They are kind and helpfull. You can book a tpur here for a full day lake tour of khao sok for 1600 baht. They then arrange everything.The rooms are clean and roomy. Despite no airco it cools down a lot in the night and with a fan blowing we slept totally fine. We would recommend this place to everyone. It is quite and a little of grid. You are right in nature and very close to the national park. There is also the walking tour option for 500 baht if you want to walk to the viewpoint.It is nice to look at some transport from and to the location as it is quite remote. A bus can bring you there but from there it is a bit more difficult but everything can be arranged with the home stay staff.

A last minute decision well made. Toh Tao homestay was a bit off the beaten track. I was a bit concerned it would be too far out when I booked it (as the floating bungalows were booked out for my time plan) but it was a great find. The owner and his son and family were so helpful and welcoming with a very peaceful and green setting. It turned out to be a great launch pad for some tours around khao sok at a fraction of the price.

The place is very cheap and you cannot expect luxury. The house was clean, the bedding was fresh. Dinner was very tasty! My only reservation is the mosquito net over the bed, which was too short and did not fulfill its function. The owner was very nice and polite.

A guest house in the middle of the jungle, maintained by an adorable family who made our lives easier throughout our stay with the added bonus of organizing a day on a private boat on the lake with their super guide for 2000 baths per person (entrance to the park and journey - 30 min - included). I highly recommend this experience. The rooms are simple but this brings into the jungle spirit that we are looking for. The food was delicious, the location beautiful, and once again the owners are perfect.The location is a little out of the way but the owners will arrange all your travel arrangements. We loved this stay and we will come back with great pleasure. Thanks for everything!
