My sister and I had an amazing time here, one of our highlights of the trip. We met so many new friends and the setting is fantastic. The beach, sea, volleyball and hammocks all make for a great vibe. We had a private room but everywhere we saw was very clean. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Look at the picture, I think it says everything.A really, really awesome hostel!The location is great; everything is not too far away, and next to the hostel, you can rent a scooter. The Echo Beach hostel also has bicycles.They have food, which is very good, and there are many restaurants and cafés around, as well as a market not far away and a 7/11.The staff is so kind and helpful.There’s a chill area where you can relax or work, and the beach is right there!Grab a beer at the bar and watch the sunset.There’s also a free outdoor gym next to it.Before I left, they even offered a yoga class. What more could you want?It’s relaxed, cool, really kind, attentive, and they do everything to help you have a great time.

One of the worst hostels I've been to during my travels. Super dirty, the bathrooms smelled of puke and fish, it was horrible, the 10 bedroom room had only one toilet available, the second one was always locked. The staff is super rude, I asked for the laundry and for tickets to Khao Sok and they answered no with such rudeness that I never saw here in Thailand. So spend some more money and book a better Hostel than this one, it's not worth it.

If you’re looking for a place to party late into the night, this is your hostel. However, if you prefer a quiet environment to sleep, this may not be the right choice. The bathrooms are usually dirty after 7 p.m., and there are only a few that are in good condition. Additionally, the room I stayed in had water leaks due to the rain.

Disgusting ExperienceThey hire european volunteers to put fake positive google reviews which is super unethical and misleading. The moment I touched the pillow and blanket, my fingers became sticky from what seemed like layers of dirt. It was so bad that I had to soap myself down just to get rid of the stickiness all over my body. I checked another blanket in the room, and it was just as sticky and dirty. Overall, it was an awful experience that left me feeling disgusted. Would not recommend. Others also mention in the reviews that the sheets feel dirty, I guess they don’t bother to wash them considering that I paid only 100 baht, I can understand why washing the sheets is a burden on them.

My husband and I only spent the night at this hostel, but we had a pleasant and peaceful night, the hostel is clean and efficient with great food options and fair prices. We really liked it, I regret only staying one night.

Lovely place located at a beautiful beach with a lot of fun activities and a nice pool table. Lovely atmosphere and people really sticked around so there was a lot of commuting. Only downside it that from like 21:00 the music was like hard techno (which I’m a fan of… just not in this setting). A bit of beachy vibe house for instance would be so much better

I'm still grinning from ear to ear as I write this review of my incredible stay at Echo Beach Hostel on the stunning island of Koh Phangan, Thailand.From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was part of the Echo Beach family. The staff were friendly and helpful, showing me to my cozy dorm room with its comfy bed. The dorm and bathrooms were cleaned regularly, the aircon was great, I slept well, but what really made my stay special was the sense of community at Echo Beach. I was a lot older than the majority of guests at the hostel however this did not stop me from enjoying everything this hostel had to offer. I spent 3 weeks here and got to know the owners, staff and volunteers who really did make this place special. I felt welcome right from the start and the friendly vibes from everyone were everywhere. The hostel has a large communal area with a bar and DJ area, pool table and restaurant as well as a beach area to soak up the sun . I met some amazing fellow travellers over a cold beer and we shared stories, laughed, danced and partied together. The location of the hostel is perfect, right on the beach, and walking distance to some great bars and nightlife. The island itself is a tropical paradise, with jungles, waterfalls, and beaches to explore.If you're looking for a laid-back, friendly, and affordable place to stay on Koh Phangan, look no further than Echo Beach Hostel. I'd highly recommend it to solo travellers, couples, and groups of friends alike.
