Khao sock is very beautiful! But where we stayed on the lake in a raft house, what a letdown! Just insulting that we were put in there for so much money. Sai chon / Sai chol under these 2 names the accommodation can be offered. On Cheow Lan Lake. I advise everyone against booking an overnight stay here with accommodation, which is extremely expensive, dirty & tired. Booked through Thai parks. Accommodation sai chon, cottage v2, 3 persons 2 nights. Would be basic, which is fine. But then it doesn't have to be dirty & broken. The bed, just concrete! Thai Parks doesn't care. And takes no responsibility, rudely spoken to by Rushen. Blames everything on me. Because I would expect high end, and saw the golden opportunity to request compensation, because I had seen the more expensive houses during our excursion 🤬🙈 really? What is this? I should have booked a more expensive house, seriously? Basic doesn't have to be dirty & broken, right? We like basic. I'm really not a snooty Westerner, but I have traveled a lot and never experienced this. I'm also glad that we booked those even more expensive houses, because if they use the same cleaning method, you feel completely cheated. There was supposed to be a reception, not seen & not pointed out. Our suitcases were in our room. No sign 'reception' anywhere, so it was really not clear that there was a reception. There is no WiFi connection, so Thai parks could not be reached. You also have no reach there via mobile data. And even though I had complained there, there was no point in reporting it because all the 4-person houses there were run-down. I went inside because all the lights were on and there was no occupancy in these houses. And then also, the same cleaning lady cleans there. Staff does not speak English either. The cleaning lady puts her mop in the lake (really no joke) places it wet on the bench where you have to sit, wrings it out by hand, sweeps with her broom, and then mop the house. The saliva & toothpaste from the predecessor(s) were still on the mirror. Cobwebs everywhere, no cleaning cloth or bucket required and no cleaning products. Don't want to think about the toilet. The cleaning lady will be ready within 5 minutes. Water that remains after showering. Had to go to the toilet with our slippers on. Afterwards it turned out that I should have reported everything to the guide, which seems unusual for us, because the guide is the guide & Thai Parks is the tour operator. I did let him know that the house was below expectations. And let's be clear, we weren't told he was the one to handle this. As a tourist you are really squeezed completely. I paid almost €700 for 2 nights, then you stay in a run-down house, a good guide, good food & a good captain & friendly staff on Sai Chon. But that guide & captain & the staff of Sai Chon receive a pittance of this amount, expensive accommodation even by Western standards & then you also have to pay parking fees, which is a few euros, but for € 700?! Also pay for that. And separately the park fee of 300 bath pp. And not even daily towel or room service for that money. So highly recommended & I really hope you take it from me! Don't sleep here! Book your day trips & stay outside Khao Sok & not through all tour operators. 1 whole day is enough, and please take a private boat with a guide! Not with the masses. I hope it helps you. And you think again before you unnecessarily spend even a euro on your stay there. But better spend your money on those who really matter, your captain & guide. The complaint is with Thai parks, but unfortunately I don't think I'm achieving anything with it. But I hope to reach you as a fellow traveler! And to save you from these run-down & run-down tourist houses

Going on September 6, 2024The view is already beautiful, giving the location five stars. The weather is good, the water is beautiful, there is fog and rain falling. We bought a package for 2 people, two meals, two people on the boat. As for the boat, the service is good. Take a boat ride Go straight and sit here, the view is very amazing.I plan to go relax and work in peace.Unfortunately, we encountered a group that had no manners.Eat, drink, sing, we don't mind if they shout. Emphasize that shouting and cheering Even though there were only two people in the whole group doing this kind of thing, it made everything lose its atmosphere.Aren't you ashamed of foreigners? If you happen to read this, please improve your behavior. It's disgusting. As for dinner, it's normal, home-style, worth the price. But there is no breakfast for us. And we didn't ask for it ourselves. This is okay. It is normal for service work to be lacking.I can understand the matter of water and electricity, but the water is very light and sometimes it doesn't flow at all. There are a lot of mosquitoes, but late at night they disappear. Being able to cover up helps to relieve the annoyance.I was very impressed by nature, but had the misfortune of encountering the howling sound of the guests that annoyed me.

For my taste it is something, it is better to spend the day there and then the night in the bungalows, for my taste it is not worth it, if you go and spend the night take everything like you toilet paper shampoo soap everything and if possible a small fan with battery since they only put on light for a while at night and then they remove it and you get a little hot if you open the door the windows better put on a lot of protection for the mosquitoes on the other hand you have cas but you must leave 500 B per oar to guarantee the food It was very good, I don't complain, the walk along the lake is not out of this world, a walk in a bamboo boat is funny but not impressive either, but hey, those are expectations that I recommend living up to, but don't expect anything extraordinary, everything is very rural for that walk. Bringing sneakers is the best since they give you a long walk through the jungle as it can be sunny or it can rain...Anyway, if you want this experience, you already know how to spend a night in the bungalows, you should read, make sure first of all, look for a review and live your own experience.

The tour: nice. We saw elephants, monkeys and birds. The food is very delicious. Breakfast too. I don't like that they ask you for the tip.....the guide when he took us to the cave asked us to tip the guy on the "boat"

Beautiful view, clear and calm water, inexpensive price, and most importantly, there is an AIS 5 G mobile phone signal as well.

This accommodation is quite bad:Why:- sheets are not clean and worn- there were cockroaches in my room- the food is bad, except for the pancake in the morning- staff does not communicate at all- the tour did not stick to the program (we visited a different less interesting cave for example)- the "safaris" give zero opportunity to see wildlife- everything makes loud noises, such as the boats and generator- the guide (if you can call him that) has no interest or passion in his job. A clown that is not funny. What is good:- scenery of the lake.

Nature is very beautiful. But will the boat driver be crazy? Took someone to repair a friend's boat that broke. We waited for almost an hour to repair the boat. The food is delicious but it's a mess. They had diarrhea until they were sick. The room was extremely hot. Instead of putting in a mosquito screen, there wasn't one. I had to remember to open the window or I couldn't sleep. There were so many insects that I couldn't sleep. The price isn't cheap. There is no privacy at all. Boats go in and out, outsiders and other rafts come and go all day. Next time, it's better to sleep on a private raft.

Getting a little tatty compared to others on the lake. The positioning is fabulous. Make sure you take a charged power bank with you. The 3 network works ok. But Dtac was non existent.

Incredible location and comfortable accommodation, with great food. They catered for us vegetarians really well too, giving us lots of choice of veggie and tofu curries. You know you’re staying in a floating raft without air conditioning in the middle of the Thai jungle so it’s surprising that people complain about being too hot. We slept perfectly under a mosquito net with the windows open letting through a lovely breeze, with the water lapping at the raft all around us and waking up to the sun rising over the incredible mountains!Once in lifetime type experience and I couldn’t recommend it enough. We came as part of a tour booked through Our Jungle Camp

We stopped here during our trip across the lake. Can't say anything about the rooms, but the dining area felt a bit outdated. I've seen many places in Thailand that were a lot nicer/cosier.The views are truly excellent though. We also had our daughter with us and it was really fun to feed the fishes. And beware of the musquitos. We were there during the rain season, but there were quite a lot of those and insect repellent is a must.
