Nice place, terrible service in case of emergency.|The houses have the minimum necessary in a beautiful place, surrounded by nature. Unfortunately, our experience was ruined by one major inconvenience. …

Unfortunately, despite the beauty of the place, my experience at this hotel was decidedly disappointing. I stayed with my family and, following an emergency (the town ATM held my only credit card), I approached the reception asking them to simply make a call to the bank for me, since I don't speak Thai. Shockingly, I was told that they were "too busy" to help me, even though I had clearly explained that it was an emergency. I find it unacceptable that a hotel that provides emergency telephone numbers in the rooms does not care at all about assisting its guests in critical situations. As if that wasn't enough, we were forced to leave one night earlier than expected, even though we had already paid for the entire stay. The hotel did not offer us even a minimal discount or refund for the unused night, once again demonstrating a total lack of customer care. Also, the location of the hotel is not the best. Although the place is nice, like many others, it is quite isolated and to reach the town you necessarily have to take a tuk-tuk, while other nearby facilities are more accessible on foot.In summary, the hotel is aesthetically pleasing, but the lack of customer service, especially in an emergency situation, and the absence of flexibility on price make the experience completely negative. I will not return and would not recommend.

I had planned with my family to stay in this accommodation for two nights, but for several decidedly negative reasons, we only needed one night! As for the location, nothing to take away, stunning views and surrounded by nature, but everything else definitely leaves something to be desired. Unfortunately we had a huge problem with a local ATM, because during a cash withdrawal, it never returned the card: we clearly called the hotel politely asking for their help in speaking in Thai with the bank (since they didn't know speak English) and act as an intermediary and look for any solution to help us in this disastrous situation. You understand well that losing a credit card in this way with a family of 5 traveling to Thailand from Italy is a very serious damage. In any case, the hotel, in particular a guy who works there, responded to us in an unkind way, telling us that he was too busy to help us and that we had to solve it ourselves! FOLLY!In Italy my mother has a hotel, and when a customer needs anything, even more so if it's a problem like this, she does everything she can to help him and certainly doesn't speak in such a surly, lazy and arrogant way.Terrible service, they give an emergency number to no avail since they don't help customers.Furthermore, we found two cockroaches inside the room (we passed over them, since we are immersed in nature, but it is definitely not nice to find in the room). Not to mention the "breakfast included" in which they give you the possibility to choose only one food and one drink, therefore very limited. We had difficulty charging our cell phones because we needed the adapter and also THERE IS NO WI-FI IN THE ROOMS.I therefore recommend going to Kao Sok, it is all surrounded by greenery, but staying elsewhere, if you have a problem, good luck, they will leave you to rot!I forgot, don't book the excursions with the hotel, they have very high prices and in the center of the town you will find the same cheaper excursions

During my stay, I had the misfortune of losing my only credit card due to an issue with the local ATM holding the card. I approached the front desk, explaining the urgency of the situation, but my request for a simple call to the bank was rejected on the grounds that the staff were too busy. All at 8:30 in the evening, not in the middle of the night. It is unacceptable that a hotel of this level is unable to provide a minimum amount of assistance to its guests in an emergency situation. The feeling of being abandoned to oneself, in a foreign country and without money, was extremely stressful. What didn't work:* Poor customer service: The lack of empathy and lack of solutions from the front desk staff were unacceptable.* Language barrier: The difficulty of communicating in English aggravated the situation, making it impossible to find an understanding with the staff.* Isolated position: The hotel is located in a quiet area, but the distance from the town and the lack of services in the immediate vicinity limit the guests' autonomy. What could have been done better:* Staff training: Front desk staff should be trained to handle emergency situations and provide appropriate assistance to guests, regardless of their nationality.* Information to guests: The hotel should provide detailed information on the services available in the area, including emergency numbers and ways to reach residential areas.* Emergency number in the room: The presence of an emergency number visible in every room did absolutely nothing.Advice for other travellers:* Consider the location carefully: If you are looking for a quiet and isolated place, this hotel could be for you. However, if you need easily accessible services and assistance, it is advisable to choose a facility located in the center or near a town.* Bring cash and multiple cards: It is always advisable to bring an amount of cash and more than one credit card with you, so that you are prepared for any eventualityConclusionDespite the natural beauty and comfort of the rooms Arts lodge view resort failed to provide adequate service in an emergency situation. This negative experience taught us the importance of choosing your accommodation facility carefully and carefully evaluating not only the beauty of the place, but also the quality of the services offered.I hope this review can be useful to other travellers.Do not underestimate the lack of hot water in the rooms

We booked a family deluxe room for a family of 5, the room isn't "deluxe" in a ny way.. it is OK but no more. There are beds for 4 people, 1 double bad and 2 single, so we asked the staff to add one single mattress, they just refused saying they don't have it, although they had many unoccupied rooms.. the room has no natural light, only 2 doors that are very uncomfortable to operate, they are build as closet doors..The staff friendliness is not stable, some are nice and attentive, but some make you feel they want you out of there..The place it self is very beautiful with the joungle and river, many monkeys and other wild life

In the jungle right by the river. We had a 3-person dorm in a perfect location. Fan good, mosquito nets really good, breakfast was a buffet, really good too. I can only recommend it.Don't do the night tour in the national park. 30 tours, all with lights... blatant tourist. We then did the full day trekking tour in the national park. Luckily the full day tour. Just don't do the half-day tour... it ends where it gets good.Halfway through the full-day tour you enter an area where you are only allowed in with a guide. From there it's quiet, the paths, the nature...really great. The best dish in the resort. Vegetable with curry paste. Spicy and very tasty. But the food was generally good. The people were nice... we had absolutely nothing to complain about...Audience: Many Germans. And relatively many families with children. Cool.. .

Directly on the Sok River with the possibility of swimming, in the middle of nature and remnants of the jungle, but still within walking distance of the town. Rustic cabins without luxury, but suitable. Gangs of monkeys roam around.Recommendation!

Great rooms, just lacked something to put our clothes on or in. Bed was super hard! Ok, that's the way it is in Thailand, but this was not a good night's sleep. It is warm there.Staff was not always friendly. Standard routine upon arrival and in the meantime busy with other things if you ask them something.
