I had a wonderful stay at this hostel! The room was spotless and offered a surprising amount of privacy for a dorm, with the added bonus of a balcony overlooking the Mekong River. The highlight of my experience was the incredible staff, and particularly the owner, who went above and beyond to help me. After having my card stolen in Sri Lanka, I was left without cash, but she graciously assisted me in cashing out from my digital card, which was a lifesaver. They also offer well-priced bus and boat transportation arrangements. Massive thanks!

I was very pleasantly surprised by this hostel.It is beautifully located for watching sunsets, the lay out of the place works really well for meeting people and chatting. The woman who runs the place is so cool and friendly and helpful.It was probably my favourite place I stayed in Laos.The rooms were snug with lots of beds fitted in, but most people only stay for a night before moving on so it's not an issue, plus, because the common areas are so accessible it isn't a problem. Plenty of showers and toilets.

This place is a nice spot in town while you wait to cross the border into Laos. The rooms and shared spaces were clean, water was provided and the views on the rooftop are amazing!Highly recommended for a clean stay!

Even though I had booked without the chance for free cancellation, they gave me a full refund only 2 days before I should have stayed with them. Love this service and am very happy! If I get the chance, I will definitely stay with them another time! ❤️

We stayed here the day before and the day after the gibbon experience. Very nice Dutch owner and she helped us a lot with booking the slow boat to Luang Prabang. Rooms are clean, nothing special.

I enjoyed staying here but has a few issues.Pros: social, lots of people, close to food, they help book slow boat, the staff all speaks English. Privacy curtains on bunks and bathrooms were clean enough.Cons:I arrived with a friend and asked for a room with two beds. They quoted us 150,000kipp. We had our information taken and did everything for the booking, then she tells us it’s 150,000 each right as I grab my wallet.We decided to book anyway, and after paying she tells us we can’t check in for 5 more hours. Okay, that would’ve been helpful to know.Then, we find out the AC is turned off until 6pm. We had to sit in the heat the entire time, which doesn’t make sense at a full hostel charging premium prices. Private rooms in the area are the cost of a single bed at this hostel.Lastly, we were told there was nowhere in town with AC during the day - this definitely isn’t true as we found multiple cafes just down the road.Overall I enjoyed my stay, but it felt odd being charged double to stay at an okay hostel run by foreigners while the local hotels had little to no visitors. Makes me wonder if I should’ve given my money to the local people even if the language barrier would’ve been a little inconvenient.
